CHAPTER 12
It's been three days since I have seen Yoongi and I am thankful that our supposed to be classes was postponed due to conflict of schedules, because honestly I still don't know how to face him after the kiss. I never thought I could be that bold.
"Sarrah, can you please bring these two brewed coffee for table two." I was awakened from my daydreaming when April, the manager of the coffee shop where I was working part time called my attention to deliver some orders. "Yes, ma'am." I replied and immediately walk over to the counter and picked up the coffees. I looked around to search for "Table 2" but since I am still not familiar with the place because I only started yesterday I immediately turned back around and asked for help. "Ahm, excuse me sunbaenim but where is Table Two?" I asked quite embarrassed because I can't find the table. "She smiled at me and kindly pointed at the table near the entrance. I bowed and immediately made my way towards the two gentlemen who were waiting for their coffee.
After the incident with my supposed "Mother", I decided to forget about it and move on with my life. As of the moment, I am focused in earning money to support my living expenses here in the city while looking for my biological father. I am currently employed at Big Hit Entertainment as BTS's personal English teacher, but they haven't showed up for the past three days due to their hectic schedule and so I decided to have another part-time job to help me earn more that what Big Hit pays me. The more money I earn the faster I can get away from Yoongi. Even though he has been nothing but good to me and even though I know that some feelings are coming back. I am still aware that he is better off without me.
I approached table two with a bright smile and their ordered coffee on hand. Two men in suits were having a deep conversation conversation and didn't even threw me a glance. I wonder what their works are. A man with white hair and beard who is probably in his late fifties is listening intently to what the man who looks a lot younger is saying. I cleared my throat to get their attention. "Excuse me, sir. Here are your orders." I put the two cups carefully in front of them. The younger guy looked at me and frowned. I suddenly felt nervous. Did I do something wrong? Did i interrupt them?
I immediately excused myself. I bowed once and was about to go my way one one of the two men called my name. "Miss Sarrah Park?" The voice sounds oddly familiar. I stopped on my track and hesitantly look back and the younger guy who is now standing from his chair and looking at me with big eyes. "Yes, sir? Ahm, do I know you?" I asked. Still trying to dig in my memory who this guy is. "I'm Jinhwan Kim. We used to teach at Busan Primary School together." The moment he mentioned the named of the school I used to teach a few years back, a flood of memories came to me. True, I had a co-teacher named Jinhwan. I remember a very friendly and funny guy who never left my side especially when I was having a hard time. Unfortunately, he left the school a year before it closed down for some unknown reasons. The guy in my memory looks completely different from the person standing in front of me now. The guy I know has long untamed hair, and he wears thick eyeglasses all the time and he don't even know the word fashion, but now, his hair is well manicured, he looked so professional with his blue suit and red tie and his eyeglasses are gone. His appearance speaks handsome, powerful and rich. A total package women would go crazy for.
My eyes grew wide and a smile formed on my lips as recognition took place. "Wow, you changed a lot!" I exclaimed as I take in his current physical appearance. He smiled shyly at me while scratching the back of his head like he used too when he gets embarrassed. "Well, how are you?" I asked excitedly since it's not always I bumped into an acquaintance. He was about to answer but we heard a loud grunt from the older gentleman he was talking a while ago. He gave me an apologetic smile as he glanced at the men in front of him. I fully understand the situation and so I decided to leave. "Well, it was nice to see you again but I have to go now. I need to get back to work." I bowed one last time and turned around, but before I could walk away he suddenly grabbed my wrist and stopped me from walking. "Ahm, Miss Sarrah! Can I have your number? You know? So that we could get together sometimes, for old times sake." He boldly asks, but I can see his cheeks slowly turning red. He smiled at me while rubbing the nape of his neck. I was taken a back by the sudden request and so it took me a long time to answer.
