"Mermaids. That's it. Come with me. I may be able to fix you memory." I grabbed Sarah's arm and pulled her out of her room. I made sure to grab her necklace on the way out. I went down to my room and grabbed my necklace. We raced out of the house and to the beach right outside with Max and Alyssa at our heels. All four of us dove in and swam out to Tremp. I swam into the moon pool with the necklaces still in my hands. They all swam in after me.
"Why did we come here? How is this going to help?" Alyssa questioned.
"Our jewels may be able to fix this."
"How?" Sarah asked me.
"The moon pool and the jewels combined might make some mermaid magic that might restore Sarah's memory."
"You want to do it?" Max asked Sarah.
"Anything to get my memory back." They gave me a reassuring look before I put the jewels together. All four of us blanked out.
I pulled the gems apart a minute or two later. We looked at Sarah hopefully. "Do you remember?"
She nodded. "I remember everything, from the first memories I ever had to the most recent ones. They're all back. I love you guys. Thank you for helping me with this." She gave us a big group hug.
"Anything for my twin sister." We pulled away. "Want to go reschedule those dates?"
"Of course." We all swam back to shore. Alyssa dried us off and we headed back to the house.
"Where did you guys go?" Alex asked as we walked in.
"We just went out to show Sarah some of her favorite stores to see if it would help her remember," I answered.
"Did it? Is anything coming back?"
"I remember everything, including that we were supposed to have a date tonight." Sarah grabbed Alex's hand.
"I already cancelled our plans. I'm sorry. How can I make it up to you?"
"Maybe recreate what you wanted to do tonight tomorrow night?"
"Of course. Dress semi formal." They kissed and then he left.
"Did you really have to do that in front of us?" Max asked her, obviously annoyed.
"Yes. I didn't think that I was going to get away from you guys. Anyway, Diana you need to call Jackson and reschedule your date. Somebody's waiting."
I pulled out my phone as I walked away. I dialed Jackson's number.
"What's up, babe?"
"Sarah got her memory back."
"Cool, how?"
"We touched the jewels together in the moon pool and everything came back."
"I will never understand mermaid things." I could hear the smile in his voice and picture him shaking his head.
"Anyway, since that drama is over, I was wondering if you wanted to go on that date."
"Sure. I'll be over in an hour. Dress nice."
"'Kay, see you then." I hung up and went back to my friends. "I have an hour until my date. Help."
Max, Alyssa, and Sarah immediately started to make a plan for my look. Alyssa picked out my outfit and shoes while Max did my hair and Sarah did my makeup.
In thirty minutes Max and Sarah were done and I was being put into a dress by Alyssa. I finally got to look at myself after I slipped on my shoes. I looked in the mirror and saw Sarah with glasses instead of myself. I was wearing a knee length floral dress and blue wedges. Max had curled my hair and Sarah had applied light makeup. "What did you three do to me?"
