Jane couldn't help but bite her tongue to avoid laughing at the awkwardness in Bella's truck. Jacob, Bella, and herself were crammed in the seat. Jane was looking out the window as Jacob flirted with Bella, but Bella didn't notice or do it back.
Out of no where Bella pulled over in shock. Jane got out after her cousin and followed her sight to boys jumping and pushing each other off a cliff. Janes heart squeezed at the sight of a certain boy. Paul Lahote.
"Their cliff jumping Bella no need to worry. Most of us jump from the lower ones, we leave the showing off to Sam and his disciples." Jacob muttered bitterly. "Cliff jumping?" Bella asked with a new glint in her eye that confused Jane. "Yeah scary as hell but a total rush." Jacob said with a flirtatious smile thinking he had impressed her. "But why do you have beef with Sam?" Jane asked to both change the subject and get to know more of this cult. "Sam disappeared for a few weeks, came back with muscles a tattoo and short hair. It got everyone else one by one. Look at Embry.... he used to call them hall monitors on steroids, now look at him." He said bitter and glaring at Embry.
Paul made eye contact with Jane and froze but she quickly looked to Jacob in pure shock. "That's Embry?" She asked in a sad voice. Having been at Jacobs garage she and Embry had grown a small attachment. They both would sit there quietly and just enjoy each other's presence as Jake and Bella flirted. They'd joke around and poke fun at the two. "And now he's looking at me.... like he's waiting for me." Jacob said obviously scared. This caught Bella's attention. "Well maybe you should just stay away from him." Bella said angry that someone was trying to take away the one thing that actually made her feel again. "I'm trying...." Jacob said pained as we started heading back for the truck.
Jane took a glance back and met the seething glare of Paul that softened as their eyes met. Something weird was going on and Jane planned to find out what.

Jane began fake praying as Jake got the bikes off the back of the truck. She felt watched and hoped it wasn't a guardian angel about to witness her death. Bella decided it'd be a grand idea to have Jane sit on the back as she drove the bike. Jane only agreed thinking she'd be able to help teach Bella to drive. But that didn't mean she was happy with this reason.
