Sarah Davis, known by the stage name Selena Dagger, was seemingly on top of the world. She'd won the television singing competition Impress USA, recorded an album, watched her songs climb the charts, won multiple awards and was in a relationship with another up and coming performer in Dave Morris a.k.a. Scruffy D. Unfortunately for her, her world was about to be rocked by the news that her boyfriend, the man she thought she could build a life with, had been carrying on a relationship with her Personal Assistant and good friend, Lucy behind her back. Needing to escape the sounds and lights of the big city to process everything, Sarah heads back home to Raleigh to spend time with her parents, especially her father as he battles alzheimers and slips away. She could never imagine that a chance encounter with a member of the North Carolina Courage while out for a run would turn into way more than just a friendship.
