Chapter 8
"It ain't easy walkin' in stilettos
But somebody gotta do it
Spend a day in my shoes
Then see what the hell I go through" - I am Woman - Jordin Sparks
Being grounded sucks. The rest of the weekend went by so slow without getting to go anywhere and without my laptop. I couldn't go out with Logan and the rest of the crew. But most of all I couldn't finish watching season 3 of Gossip Girl.
I was bored out of my mind as I finished up my homework. I had put it off all weekend and since its Sunday night, I figured I needed to do it. I have nothing better to do anyways.
I was doing some Calculus problems when my phone dinged, signaling that I had a text. I picked up my phone to see Logan had texted me. I smiled as I read the text.
From: Logan
How's the grounded life?
I grinned as I typed back,
To: Logan
Sucks :/ All thanks to you
It didn't take long for him to respond,
From: Logan
Aw cmon you had fun. It was worth it right?
To: Logan
Of course! Lol
From: Logan
That's what I though ;) Anyway I was j going to tell you that I will be late to school in the morning so you can't ride with me in tomorrow :(
I smiled faded as I read the text. I was sad I couldn't ride with him in the morning. I've grown to love our morning rides to school together. It's a chance for us to get to know each other better and I've gotten a lot closer to him that way.
I texted him back as I thought of who could take me to school. My mom has to go to work early so she couldn't take me. I then thought about asking Kelsey since I ride with her home after school. I'm sure she wouldn't mind picking me up in the morning.
I texted her and she replied that she could so I was relieved I had that all worked out. I seriously need to go get a car so I won't have to worry about this kinda stuff.

Ugh, Monday morning. All I want to is just stay in my bed and sleep. Which is actually strange because I spent most of my weekend sleeping due to my grounding.
I got up and got dressed, settling on a simple outfit for the day, which consisted of a pair of dark ripped skinny jeans, some random band T-shirt, and my vans.
It's September but it still feels like summer here in Florida. I'm used to Virginia weather to where it was already getting chilly around this time of year. I defiantly had to get a wardrobe change after moving here.
After doing my hair and makeup and grabbing an apple, Kelsey's car pulled up in the driveway.
I grabbed my stuff and rushed out the door. "Hey girl, how was your weekend?" Kelsey greeted me as I climbed into her car.
"Boring, but hey I caught up on some sleep for sure." I replied as I buckled up and she pulled out of my driveway.
She laughed, "Oh well, 2 days down and 5 more to go."
"They better go by fast." I sighed
"It will. Don't worry when you get off of being grounded we will all go out and do something." She said trying to make me feel better.
