Chapter 15

"But I can shake it, shake it
Like I'm supposed to do
'Cause I got that boom boom that all the boys chase" - All about that bass - Meagan Trainer

"Beep, Beep!" I hear the horn blaring.

Ugh! I'm going to kill Logan! "I'm coming!" I scream out my window.

"Hurry up!" He yells back. I quickly swipe some lipgloss on my lips and hurry out to his car.

"God, you're so impatient sometimes!" I say as I get in the car. Frustrated, I buckle my seatbelt. "Yeah well if you weren't so slow getting ready then I wouldn't be so impatient." He retorts back.

I send him a look and shut my mouth before saying something I might regret later.

I woke up late this morning and I was behind getting ready this morning. It's so not my fault that the power went out in the middle of the night due to the storm we had and my alarm clock didn't go off. Oh and not to mention that I'm still on my period which makes me really cranky.

Logan pulls into his parking lot and I rush out of the car, not wanting to talk to him anymore this morning.

"Zoe!" He calls after me but I'm to far gone that I don't bother to wait.

I get to my locker and angrily pull my books from my locker. I slam my locker door shut and before I can take off to my class I hear my best friend's voice, "Woah, who pooped in your Cheerios this morning?" Cara asked.

I roll my eyes, "Nobody, just having a rough morning."

"Where's Logan?" Kelsey asked as we walk down the hallway toward first period.

"Don't know and don't care." I reply.

"Damn someone's feisty this morning." I shoot Cara a look. She holds her hands up in surrender.

We arrive at our first period class and plop down in my desk. The class starts and eventually the bell rings.

The day goes by rather slowly and I try to avoid Logan at all costs. Don't ask my why because honestly I have no idea why I'm doing it myself but I guess it's easier to avoid him than to scream at him. Lunch finally arrives and I walk to the cafeteria. "Zoe!" I hear my name right before I enter the lunch room.

I turn around to see Logan walking to me. "Hey, have you been avoiding me today?" He asked with a concern look on his face.

"No," I lie.

"You're lying." He accuses.

I feel my cheeks heat up, "What? I-I'm not lying." I say trying not to make eye contact.

"Yes you are. You're stuttering and you won't make eye contact with me."

I sigh, "Okay fine I was avoiding you."

He laughs, "I knew it! So why were you avoiding me anyways?"

"Ugh! I don't know okay? I was just afraid I would end up screaming at you like this morning."

"Still on the time of the month?" He asked.

"Yes," I mumble.

He chuckles, "I'm sorry pretty girl. I'll give you a massage when we get home 'kay?" He winks while he wraps an around me.

I blush and we enter the cafeteria. Just like for the past month, eyes are still on us as enter the lunch room with his arm around me. I've gotten used to it and decide to just ignore it. They don't know me or the situation anyways.
