The final bell rang for the end of the day and it was finally winter break. I was so excited for this break! Two weeks off of school for Christmas and New Years.

I gathered my books and headed towards my locker to put them up. The girls were waiting for me there with big grins of their faces. "It's winter break!!" Cara squealed rather loudly. We earned some weird looks from people who were walking down the hallway.

The rest of the week had been quite boring since Logan had been suspended from school because of the fight. People gossiped about it for several days but now it's yesterday's news and thank God the attention is elsewhere.

"Don't forget about our Ugly sweater Christmas party Saturday night at Cara's apartment." Kelsey said to me as I shut my locker door. "You two will be there right?" We made our way outside of the school to the parking lot.

I nodded, "Yeah we're planning on it." Kelsey had informed me that every year the crew has a Christmas party the Saturday night before Christmas where everyone wears an ugly Christmas sweater and play games. Since Christmas is on Tuesday that means that their annual Christmas party is this Saturday night. Which is tomorrow.

"Dirty Santa right?" I questioned.

"Yeah but instead of buying a new gift, you give something you already have. It's called White Elephant." Cara explained.

"That's...different." I said confused. They laughed, "It's actually a lot more fun than the old regular Dirty Santa." Kelsey promised.

We got in Kelsey's car and started toward the mall. We were going shopping for the ugly Christmas sweater.

"I can't believe it's already almost Christmas!" Cara exclaimed as we walked around the mall. There was Christmas decorations up everywhere and even someone dressed up as Santa and elves where children were getting there picture made.

"I know, it's weird I've been here for half the school year already. I feel like I just moved here." I replied.

We walked into the store called Forever 21. They always have weird and funky clothes, surely they will have an ugly Christmas sweater.

"For real, wow so much has changed since the summer." Kelsey said.

"Did you guys hang out a lot during the summer?" I asked.

"More like everyday," Cara snorted. "We pretty much lived at Logan's house since he's the only one with a pool in his backyard."

Oh how much I would love for it to be summer already. Don't get me wrong I love Christmas time but it's so cold. I'm ready for warm weather and the pool.

"We went to the beach like every day too. Summers here in Southport are the best!" Kelsey said we all started sifting through the clothing racks.

I smiled, "I can't wait to spend summer with you guys."

"This year will be the best year of all since we would have just graduated." Cara said.

"Oh don't remind me! I'm going to cry, leaving everyone is going to be tough." Kelsey replied.

We dropped the subject since it's not the best topic and went in different directions to search for a sweater.
