Chapter 24
"And you'll never treat yourself right darlin' but I want you to
If I let you know I'm here for you" - Little Things - One Direction
Riding to school with Logan has become one of my favorite things to do. I always look forward to riding in the car with him. Depending on the mood, our car rides are either peaceful with music lightly playing in the background or our car rides are goofy with us jamming out to music and acting like crazy people. Either way, I have grown to really enjoy being in the car with Logan.
Speaking of Logan, our relationship is different now that we kissed. That kiss was amazing and I wouldn't have wanted anybody else to take my first kiss. After they caught us, I expected things to be awkward but they weren't. Logan acted like it was nothing and he was normal the rest of the night. I was trying to act normal but it was kinda hard with my heart pretty much beating out of my chest and the butterflies I got in my stomach every time me and Logan made eye contact or whenever I thought about the kiss. No, me and Logan are not dating and I honestly don't know if we will. It's only been two days since the kiss and we haven't really spent much time with each other since.
We all went home not long after playing hide and seek Friday night. Logan hugged me and told me how he was glad I was home and told me he would see me later. The next day, I spent at home since I was gone all week. Logan had things to do for his mom and then I think hung out just with the guys. Then on Sunday we saw each other briefly went he came over with his mom. Things were not awkward between us but it's still a little different since we kissed. He hasn't mention anything about us dating but Kelsey said to give him time and that by the looks of it, he cares about me and she wasn't going to let him hurt me.
I came back from my thoughts and looked to my right to see Logan drumming his fingers on the steering wheel, looking at the road with a content look on his face. I guess he felt me staring at him because he turned and met my gaze. His lips curled up into a smile. He went back to looking at the road.
"I really am not looking forward to going back to school." I sighed as we pulled into the parking lot. Logan patted my leg, "Only a few more weeks until Christmas break then we will be out for 3 weeks."
I huffed, "Still! That doesn't make going back anymore fun!" I whined. He smirked, "Come on whiney butt, school is what you make of it. Why not make it fun?" He got out of the car and I followed suit.
Other students still saw it to be amusing that I was riding to school with him and always stop what they were doing and stare but eventually you get used to it. According to Kelsey, the looks I get whenever I'm with Logan will probably never stop. The downside of being popular and being friends with the oh-so-amazing Logan Collins.
Today was a little different though. People of course were watching us get out of the car and watching us walk into the school building. But they weren't just watching me, they were giving me dirty looks. What in the world have I done to deserve dirty looks from people I've never talked to before.
Logan never seemed to notice it but he usually never notices people staring anyways. It maybe that he just don't care or that he's used to it but he just acts like his normal self. The first half of the day goes on and the dirty looks never stop. Instead, it seems that it just gets worse as the day went on.
The bell rings, signaling lunch time. I walk to my locker and take my time putting my books up. I hear someone walk up, thinking it was Logan or one of my friends I turn and smile.
My smile drops when I see who is standing in front of me with a huge scowl across her face. "I thought I told you to stay away from Logan!" Ashley demanded.
