Chapter 25

" I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true oh
All I want for Christmas is you" - All I want for Christmas is you - Mariah Carey

Finally, December 1st.

My most favorite time of the year is here and I can barely contain my excitement. I love Christmas time!!! Just everything about it amazes me. The lights, joy, presents, music, movies, EVERYTHING!

It's always been a tradition in my family that on December 1st we put out all of our Christmas decorations. No matter what day of the week it is or how busy we are, we will all make time to put up and decorate the tree.

I walk downstairs into the living room to see my mom already at work with putting together our fake Christmas tree. My mom used to get a fake one but she stopped when she found out my sister was allergic to the pine of the real Christmas tree.

"You coming down to help?" She asked not even looking up from what she was doing.

"Yeah, let me grab some breakfast first."

She laughed, "Honey, it's nearly lunch time." I frowned and looked up at the clock, she was right it was already 11:30. Whoops.

"I must have been really tired." I told her.

"That's okay, once I get this done I'll need you and your sister's help with decorating."

"Of course, you know how much I love helping." I walked into the kitchen and rummaged around to find something to eat. Since it was almost lunch time, I might as well eat lunch.

I ran upstairs and quickly changed into some leggings and threw on the first sweatshirt I could find which was laying on a chair.

"Hey mom?" I called down to her.

"Yes?"

"Do you mind if I take your car to go grab some lunch for us?" I asked her using my sweet face so that she will hopefully let me go. I mean I have my license so I can drive, I just don't have a car yet.

"I guess so, just be careful. My keys are over there." She said pointing to her purse. "Where are you going to go?

"I was thinking McDonalds."

She made a face, "Just get a salad then. I'll give you some money when you get back. I shook my head, "Don't worry about it." I grab her keys and my phone, "I'll be back soon."

"Be careful," she yelled at me before I shut the door.

I walked out to her car and glanced over at Logan's house. His car was still parked in his driveway which meant that he must be home. I guess he might still be asleep because I haven't heard from him all morning.

I drove the 10 minute drive it took to get to McDonald's and pulled into an empty parking spot. I pulled out my phone and dialed Logan's number to see if he wanted any lunch. He didn't answer. Good thing I know what he likes to get here, I'm sure he'll want some McDonalds.

I walked into the building and waited in line to order. Once it was my turn I walked up to the counter, "Hi, welcome to McDonalds. What would you like to order?" I lady at the cash register asked.

I looked up at the menu, "I would like a garden salad, a McChicken sandwich, a Big Mac, a large fry, and two large sweet teas please." The lady looked at me funny as she typed it in. Surely she doesn't think I'm going to eat all this myself. "That will be $25.50." I gave her the money and scooted over to wait on my food. They gave it to me and I took off to my mom's car.
