Chapter 2
"You may fall in love
When you meet her
If you get the chance you better keep her" - Dark Horse - Katy PerryI awoke to the bright sunlight that was shining through my windows. I wiped the sleep from my eyes and checked my phone for the time.
My phone read 7:10 a.m. You've got to be freaking kidding me. It's one of my last days of summer and I wake up at 7 in the freaking morning. I'm still exhausted since I didn't get much sleep.
I tired shutting my eyes but there was no use. I was already too much awake to try and go back to sleep. My stomach started grumbling so I might as well and go get some breakfast.
I climbed down the stairs and see my sister in the living room watching some show on Disney Channel.
"What are you doing up so early?" my annoying sister asked.
"Well good morning to you too." I said sarcastically.
She looks up from her TV show to give me a look that tells me she wasn't please with my remark, "I wasn't trying to be rude, I was just asking a simple question."
"Didn't sound like it to me," I said, "Where is mom?"
"She is next door talking to our neighbor. Apparently they work together." Bailee replied.
"Oh well that's cool I guess."
I went into the kitchen to get some breakfast. I decided on a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios. They are my favorite.
As I ate my cereal, I tried to think of what was on my agenda for the day. I really didn't have anything particular I needed to do today. I was just planning on unpacking and getting my new room together.
A few minutes later I had finished my cereal and was putting the dirty dishes into the sink, when my mom came in.
"Oh good you're up! I was just next door talking to my new co worker, Michele. She lives right next door." My mother exclaimed as she walked into the kitchen, "She has invited us all over to her house tonight for dinner."
"What time? I was planning on getting my room all unpacked and settled today." I said
"You can still do that. We won't be going over there until 6 tonight." She says, "She has a son about your age. You should meet him, that way you will have at least one friend for when you start school on Monday." She says smiling at me.
"Mom, you know how I am when it comes to making new friends. I'm not very good at it."
And I really didn't want to meet this son of our new next door neighbor. If it's the same guy from yesterday then I'm sure he wouldn't want to be friends with me.
"Just please come. She really wants to meet you girls and I think you will like her." My mom is practically begging me right now.
Rolling my eyes at my mother's stubbornness, "Fine, I'll go. I can't promise I'll be best friends with her son though."
"As long as you meet him, I'll be happy." She says.
"Whatever," I say as I head up to my room.
I decide to start getting ready for the day. Call me weird but I hate being in my pajamas all day long. I have to put on some regular clothes on and do something with my crazy hair.
Since I'm just being around the house for the day, I pulled out some shorts and tank top. I pulled my hair up in a simple pony tail and put on some makeup.
When it comes to stuff like makeup, I'm not one to cake it on my face. Just a little foundation, eye shadow, eye liner, and mascara.
After that was all done, I got busy unpacking.
