Chapter 17
"Just close your eyes
You'll be alright
Come morning light,
You and I'll be safe and sound" - Safe and Sound - Taylor SwiftI woke up feeling confused as I looked around at my surroundings. I was in an unfamiliar bed in an unfamiliar room. I then remembered that I wasn't at home but I was at Logan's house in his guest bedroom. I then remembered how I fell asleep on the couch and Logan must have carried me to the bed. My cheeks heat up at the memory of Logan carrying me to sleep last night and planting a kiss on my forehead.
I climbed out of bed and opened the door of the guest room and I was overwhelmed with the amazing smell of breakfast. I turned the corner to the kitchen and the sight before me melted my heart. Standing with his back towards me is Logan making pancakes and bacon. How is it that he's so perfect???
"I didn't know you could cook." he turns around at my voice and gives me a heart warming smile.
"Babe, there are tons of things you don't know about me." I blush as he calls me 'Babe'.
I walk over to the kitchen counter and sit on the stool. He finishes putting a pancake and bacon on a plate and sits it in front of me. "Milk or Orange juice?" He asked.
"Milk," I reply. You can't ever go wrong with milk. I will drink it with every meal, it's that good. He pours me a glass of milk and sits in front of me then goes back to fixing himself a plate. "Where's your mom?" I asked taking another bite of this delicious breakfast.
"She had to go on a work conference trip too. She hated having to leave without saying goodbye but she didn't want to wake you." He explained.
"Oh," I paused to think for a moment, "Wait does that me we are home alone tonight?"
He walks over to me and sits down beside me, "Yeah we are, but if you get uncomfortable you can stay with the girls tonight."
"I can stay with them if you want me to." I told him.
He shook his head, "No, I want you to be here but I don't want you to feel uncomfortable with just us here tonight so if you want you can stay over there."
I smiled, "I guess we'll see how the day goes." I took a bite of my bacon, "What is the plan for today?"
"The crew is all going to the mall around lunch time so I thought we would join them."
I nodded, "Sounds good to me, I could use some new clothes." He groaned, "Please tell me you're not one of those shopping freaks that takes like all day to shop."
I laughed at his childishness, "I wouldn't say I'm a 'freak'" I said using my fingers as quotations on the work 'freak', "But I do like to shop sometimes and it just depends on the day and my mood on how long it takes."
"Today is going to be fucking hell." I heard his mutter under his breath. I flicked him in the back of the head. "Watch you're language mister." I laughed and got up to put my plate in the sink.
I heard him follow me but I didn't turn around. I rinsed off my plate in the sink and I felt his presence behind me. His front side pressed against my back side and his breath fanned against my neck. My heart started racing at our close proximity and I tried settling my heavy breathing. He was still pressed up against me as he placed his plate in the sink then rested his hand on the edge, "That's payback for flicking me in the head." He whispered huskily.
He then pushed himself away from me and sauntered off upstairs to I guess get ready. My cheeks were burning and it dawned on me that he knew that I was attracted to him and had a crush on him. That's why he did what he did just then. He knows. That thought along makes my stomach churn in nerves.
