Chapter 53
"It's just a drop in the ocean
A change in the weather
I was praying that you and me might end up together
It's like wishing for rain as I stand in the desert
But I'm holding you closer than most 'cause you are my heaven" - A drop in the ocean - Ron Pope
I groaned loudly as my obnoxious friend pulled the warm covers from body and flicked on the light.
"Okay, it's been over 24 hours and we have let you have your space and time to pout but now it's time to get your lazy ass out of bed and come out with us."
"Cara, lay off her she just went through a break up." When Kelsey said the words "Break up" I started wailing again. This has been the worst 24 hours of my life! I just want my Logan back but I overreacted and now he probably wouldn't take me back.
"Come on, it's time to get you beautified so we can go out and make you forget about your problems." I groaned again as Cara dragged me out of bed. Literally.
"We are not going to get Zoe drunk, Cara!" Kelsey who clearly is the sensible one scolded.
"Actually," I butted in, "Getting drunk wouldn't be so bad. I could really use it to be honest."
"As amusing as it was, we don't need you drunk dancing on tabletops saying "Fuck you!" to Logan and Ashley."
"That's exactly what I want to say." I mumbled.
"Have you even tried talking to him?" Kelsey asked.
I shook my head no.
"Has he tried to talk to you?"
"Nope, and he probably won't. I don't blame him either." I replied solemnly.
"Both of you were in the wrong so why not just apologize and then kiss and make up." Cara suggested.
"I wish it was that easy."
"It is that easy." She remarked.
I sighed, "I don't want to talk about it. I'm trying to forget it."
"Well then," Cara said her hands on her hips, "Let's get you looking hot and head out for a night at the movies."
----
"These heels are killing my feet." I complained to the girls for like the 100th time.
I don't understand why they are making me wears heels to the movies? We are going to be in the dark for the majority of the time so no one is going to pay attention to what I'm wearing. I would have rather be in sweatpants and a t-shirt if it was up to me.
"Oh hush, you look hot and that's what matters." Cara says then stops walking and turns to me. "And that cute guy over there is totally checking you out right now."
I looked over to where she was talking about and sure enough a guy was eying me. But instead of making me feel pretty or turned on, I felt uncomfortable and just wanted to hide. He was cute but he wasn't Logan. Only guy I'll ever let look at me like that is Logan.
Ugh. I need to stop thinking about Logan. Every time I think of him I get a feeling in the pit of my stomach that makes me want to puke because of how upset I am about the whole thing. I know I should call him. I know I need to talk to him and eventually we will but I'm just afraid it's too early. Both of us need to calm down and figure things out first.
I mean he obviously needs to figure out if he wants to be with me or Ashley.
We were waiting in line to get our movie tickets and popcorn. I wasn't really feeling this tonight but the girls gave me no choice.
