Chapter 31: The 2nd Task

It was about a few days after yours and Cedrics interesting night, the two of you were closer than ever and much more flirty. Cedric had also told Harry a hint to the egg the day after his night with you, it was now the day before 2nd task

I woke up in the comfort of my dorm room, after the most amazing night with Cedric a few days ago he gave me another set of his clothes to wear to bed. His oversized quidditch jersey and another pair of sweatpants. They were both so cozy and smelt just like him, his scent was addicting.

I layed in my bed just adoring the memories me and Cedric made the other day and I continued to breathe in Cedric's addicting smell of lavender and cologne. About ten minutes had passed of me just daydreaming, and I decided that it was time to get ready for the day.

I made my way to the grand hall for the everyday breakfast, although I mainly went just to see Cedric. As I walked into the grand hall with confidence I felt eyes watching me when I looked up to lock eyes with Cedric who had been looking at me with hunger.

I smiled to myself at his reaction and I gave him a wink while I walked over to our table. I arrived next to Cedric and sat next to him on the bench, "Morning y/n/n" Cedric said, eyeing you up and down. "Hello to you, too handsome," you said, returning the same energy.

Cedric smirked at the name before reaching his hand down to grab your thigh and giving it a light squeeze. He leaned into your ear and whispered "We should have a repeat of the other night soon, don't you think?" his mouth moved from your ear to just below it and he pressed a soft and sensual kiss. His mouth lingered on your neck for a moment before pulling completely away.

You felt butterflies fill your stomach at his words, all you could do is blush in response. Cedric must've known what his effect had done because he returned to talking to his friends as if nothing just happened.  You smiled to yourself trying to keep your composure and you dished your breakfast.

After finishing your breakfast  Cedric had asked you to come with him to the library to meet up with the golden trio to talk about the tournament that was to take place today. You agreed to go with him and you both made your way to the library.

Me and Cedric walked into the library hand in hand and walked around to find the golden trio when we heard familiar bickering. We turned the corner and we were greeted with Hermione and Harry looking distraught while Ron observed.

We walked into their column and took a seat next to Ron who had dozed off, none of them even acknowledged mine and Cedric's presence and that's when Hermione spoke up "Harry tell me again" she said.

"Come seek us where our voices sound" Harry said with his head in a book "The black lake, that's obvious" Hermione responded pacing back and forth "An hour long you'll have to look" Harry said "Again obvious, though potentially problematic" Hermione said now leaning against a chair.

Harry lifted his head off the book to look at Mione "Potentially problematic? When's the last time you held your breath underwater for an hour Hermione??" Harry said shoving his face back in the book "Look, Harry we can do this, the three of us can figure it out" she said encouragingly while putting a hand on Harry's shoulder.

Me and Cedric were about to speak up before we were interrupted by Mad eye Moody "Hate to break up the scholars session, Professor Mcgonagall would like to see you in her office" I assumed he meant the golden trio so i stayed seated while Harry began to stand when Mad eye corrected Harry "Not you Potter, just Weasley, Granger."
