Chapter 34: The 3rd and Final Task

A/N: I'm very sorry in advance...

Y/n: I woke up to the warmth of Cedric's arms consuming me, no matter how many times or how many hours I was with Cedric I never got sick of him. He always makes me feel safe and at home, I love being with him and his scent or the way he looked so peaceful when he slept. It's such a comfort to be with him.

I was snuggled into his chest with his head just resting above mine, our legs were intertwined and I breathed in his familiar scent of lavender and cologne while I could feel the beat of his heart oh so faintly, our hearts were connected as one.

My thoughts began to drift to the events of last night, and pictures flashed in my head. I couldn't get over how much Cedric cared about me, and that he was the one who wanted our first time to be special. It was so wholesome and made me love him that much more.

As I continued to ponder I felt Cedric start to grow restless and antsy, he must of been having a nightmare...

Cedric's Dream:

I raced and raced to reach her hand, she was getting pulled farther and farther away from me screaming my name for help

"CEDRIC PLEASE" she cried reaching out for me as she was pulled deeper into the darkness "PLEASE Y/N HOLD ON" I called out to her. I was in tears by now

My one and only true love was slipping away from me and there was nothing I could do about it, I felt a pit begin to form in my stomach.

"CEDRIC!" she cried once more letting out a blood curdling scream

"Please! Don't take her!" I called out to the darkness, but it was no use, she was sucked into it, leaving me. "Y/N!" "Y/N!!"

I called out when all of a sudden I heard someone calling back out to me

"CEDRIC! CEDRIC! IT'S OK IT'S JUST A NIGHTMARE"

It was y/n, I tried reaching out to the voice when I was jolted awake.

Cedric POV:

I awoke to the most beautiful woman, my girlfriend. "Cedric, it's ok i'm here! You're ok!" she said hovering over me. I felt a rush of relief consume me, she was ok and she was here with me. I lunged for her and swallowed her in a hug "Oh thank god" I said while swarming her with kisses all over her face.

"Agh! Cedric!" she laughed, I would've been laughing too if it weren't for how scared I had just been, I hugged her for a moment longer before pulling away from the hug. "What was it? The dream? What was so upsetting?" she asked with much concern.

"It was you, you were getting pulled into this darkness and I couldn't save you" I said feeling myself get emotional "You were screaming my name for help but I just couldn't reach you" I felt warm tears roll down my cheeks as I tried to continue. "An-a-and you w-were-" I spoke but was cut off

"Shh shh shh, it's ok darling it was only a nightmare, I'm here now and safe" she said immediately grabbing either side of my face to comfort me, making direct eye contact while she spoke. My fear and discomfort immediately washed away as she stared into my eyes.

I gave her a comforting smile and I leaned in to kiss her. She kissed me back passionately and we leaned back into the bed still kissing. She pulled out of the kiss and moved up to my forehead, leaving a gentle peck.

She looked so beautiful with her y/h/l y/h/c hair that framed her face so well, and her gorgeous y/e/c eyes that I could stare into all day. "The last task is today" she spoke while looking at me. The daydream ended and I was reminded of reality.
