Chapter 25: Competition

Cedric POV:

My eyes fluttered open to the crackle of the fire in the common room. We must have fallen asleep, I felt my arms wrapped around y/n as she slept so peacefully. She looked like an angel, the way her hair had fallen on her face and the way the fire illuminated her beautiful soft skin. I would hold her all day if I could.

Her head laid on my chest while her arm was wrapped around me, she made me feel so warm and at home and our legs were intertwined with each others. I was so caught up in her beauty that I had forgotten the time. We needed to get up, I didn't want to wake her from her sleep but I didn't want us to be late.

I slowly leaned my head down to her ear and whispered "Darling we need to get going" she lightly squirmed resisting to wake up.

"Come on love" I said now rubbing her back, her eyes fluttered open and she looked up at me and groaned, "mm- What time is it?" she asked, looking drowsy. "It's time to get going" I responded.  She groaned and rested her head back onto my chest "Agh, five more minutes" she groaned again. "Believe me i don't want to get up either but we have to get going love."I responded

We both took a deep breath in before we got up and off the couch. My neck ached from the uncomfortable position that it had been in all night but y/n seemed to be fine thankfully. We both walked up the stairs parting ways before heading into our separate dorms to get dressed for the day.

Love Potion y/n POV:

After getting dressed and heading downstairs to the great hall with Cedric we both sat down and took your seats. But something was off, you quickly became aware of the numerous eyes on you, coming from Draco Malfoy to Oliver Wood, to even Harry Potter. They all were all longfully staring at you and you didn't know why.

You looked down at your clothes to see if there was some sort of stain that they were all glancing at, but there wasn't anything there. Then it hit you, the yule ball.

Everyone was supposed to find dates for the yule ball and you immediately turned scarlet at all of the sudden attention from the numerous boys. You didn't know what to do in the moment so you just pretended that you hadn't noticed. You started awkwardly eating your breakfast and praying that they'd all stop staring but to your luck they didn't.

While trying to hurry and eat your food you felt a hand graze over your shoulder. You looked up to meet eyes with one of the boys, Draco, your heart skipped a beat as you both made eye contact and he began to speak "Can I speak to you for a moment doll?" he asked, taking his hand off your shoulder and now holding it out for you to take hold of it.

You turned to Cedric just before taking Draco's hand "I'll be right back Ced." Cedric hadn't realized what was happening until he slightly turned his head towards you to respond. He instantly met eyes with Draco and I could tell instantly that he was mad to see him there.

I had no words to respond to his anger so I just turned back to Draco and took hold of his hand. He guided me out of the grand hall and stopped just outside the entrance. "Sorry to take up your time love, but I wanted to ask you a question..." Draco said as he reached down to your sides and took hold of both of your hands.

As he said that you already knew what his question was going to be. "Ok... go for it" you responded, "Ok..." he took a deep breath in and began to speak again "I wanted to know if you'd be my date to the yule ball." he finished with much confidence in his voice.

You got goosebumps all up your arm at the question and you felt yourself blushing "I-i'd love to go with you Draco!" you let go of his hands and brought him into a hug. He must have not expected it cause when you crashed into him his feet slightly scuffed backwards making him trip a little.

You giggled at his clumsiness and pulled your head out of the hug to press your lips onto his. Once again he was caught off guard but shortly after matched your energy, your hands moved from the hug and reached up to play with his platinum blonde hair. It felt so soft in between your fingers.

Draco's hands lingered all over you not quite stopping anywhere for too long. His lips were soft and addictive. The kissing started to get heated and more passionate,and Draco's hands started getting a little more touchy. Without warning he moved his right hand from your back up to your throat.

He lightly choked you while his kissing was getting more passionate, you matched his energy and your lips began to move at a rhythm. You lightly pulled and tugged at his hair making him groan while he choked you. The hair pulling must've been too much because just then Draco started scooting the two of you into the nearest wall.

Your back met the cold wall sending goosebumps throughout your body. As you both came in contact with the wall Draco's tongue started licking the bottom of your lip trying to ask for entry. You obliged and slightly opened your mouth letting him in, your tongues moved together gracefully and you were in ecstasy.

You could hear his breathing getting deeper and slower, and he was now getting a little aggressive. He pulled away before progressing too much and to let the two of you catch your breath. He let go of your throat and his eyes were furrowed as he stared at you. His eyes were dark, not with anger but with lust.

You felt like your heart was in your stomach and you weren't sure what to do. You continued to stare at each other with such desire, not saying a word. On the contrary of what you actually wanted, you didn't want this to escalate any more just yet. So instead you raised both of your hands to cup his face, he melted into your touch "We need to get back in there or everyone will suspect something." you said breaking the silence.

"Ok? Let them suspect something, let them all be jealous." he responded with a cocky tone, you felt your face grow beat red "Draco!" you said with a nervous laugh and your eyes wide as you playfully hit him. He too laughed and leaned in to give you one final peck on the lips. "Alright, alright, let's get back in there" he said, pulling you away from the wall and taking hold of your hand to continue the rest of your day.
