Chapter 18: The Morning After

You woke up to the blinding sun peeking through the window. You quickly became aware of your surroundings and remembered what had happened the night before when you felt Cedric's hot breath on your neck. You turned your body to face him, he looked so peaceful and innocent "You know it's rude to stare" Cedric said with his eyes still closed and trying to hide a smile.

Your face heated up with embarrassment "I-I wasn't staring, I was just admiring" you quickly said in response. He smiled and slowly opened his eyes when then leaned in to kiss you. You too leaned in, closing the gap between you both.

He pulled away and raised his hand to your face, cupping it "Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?" he said while admiring all of your features. You got an instant sensation of butterflies in your stomach and you began to blush like a cherry tomato.

As soon as he said those words he leaned in again to kiss you. You melted into the kiss and your butterflies only intensified. His lips were warm and soft and it only made your butterflies worse. Your lips began to move in sync and you were in heaven. You never wanted to have this feeling end.

...That's when he pulled away, he slowly inhaled with his eyes closed and his hand moved from cupping your face to your waist. "We should be getting up now darling" he said looking into your eyes.

The butterflies quickly went away and you missed the contact, you slowly let out a long sigh "Damn you Cedric" you said, a slight smirk formed on his face "There will be plenty of time for that later love" he said in response as he leaned in to peck your lips once more.

Soon after the slight peck Cedric removed the covers from himself and got up out of bed, he walked around to your side of the bed and picked you up bridal style, you let out a little squeal as he carried you to the doorway.

He carried you all the way to the girls dormitory,stopping right before the door "This is where I leave you y/n/n" he slowly set you down and pecked your forehead "I'll be waiting for you when your ready love" he then walked his way back over to the boys dormitory, turning around right as he was about to enter the room giving you a flirty wink.

You blushed and turned to go into your dorm, when you entered all of the other girls were busy getting ready and didn't even hear you come in, you looked down and noticed you were still wearing Cedric's sweater.

You took the neckline of the sweater and brought it up to your nose, it smelled just like him, his scent was intoxicating and you couldn't get enough of it. The night before played in your head on repeat and you felt like you were on cloud nine.

The sound of all the girl's chatter broke your train of thought and you remembered that you had to get ready. You walked to your dresser and put on your uniform and robe, you did your hair in a low messy bun and grabbed your school supplies.

You ended up getting ready before any of the other girls so you decided to put on a little makeup, you finished up and all the fellow girls were starting to head out the door, so you followed suit.

When you met the end of the staircase your eyes met with Cedric's and he grew the biggest smile on his face. You walked up over to him and he took your hand in his and you left the common room. You both walked gleefully down to the great hall for some breakfast.

After breakfast you and Cedric headed to your first class of the day, potions class. As you guys entered you sat right next to each other,  you and Cedric were hard at work when you felt a pair of eyes watching you. You looked up from your work and saw Draco giving you a disgusted and jealous look.

You turned to look behind you out of confusion as to who the look was directed towards, and when you turned back around you realized that the look was definitely directed towards you. Out of curiosity you mouthed to him "What?" he ignored the gesture and turned back to his work out of frustration.

You were beyond confused and didn't know where this sudden bitterness came from, the rest of class consisted of disgusted glances directed towards you from Draco, and you being incredibly uncomfortable.

The rest of class was dreadful and you couldn't wait for it to end. Which it soon did, the bell rang and class was dismissed, while walking out you felt Cedric lean down to your ear and whisper  "Now just what the bloody hell is he on about?" he said letting out a slight chuckle.

"To be honest with you I have no clue" you said in response, "Well that's unfortunate"  Cedric said taking your hand in his and kissing your cheek. The rest of the day was torture with having so many things going on in your head. With the quidditch results and Draco and what had happened with Cedric the night before you couldn't focus whatsoever.

You had just finished the last class of the day and were on your way to the hufflepuff common room, on your way there you saw Draco sitting down, he seemed to be in deep thought. You felt the urge to go and confront him of all the dirty looks that he had been giving you all day long. You were hesitant at first but you marched your way over to him with confidence.

"Now just what did I do to make you upset with me now hm?" you said, he looked up with a surprised expression that faded into a disgusted one. "And just why would you care y/l/n?" he said in return "Hm I don't know maybe I want to know why my best friend is giving me a disgusted look all of a sudden." you said in a sarcastic voice.

He rolled his eyes and slowly stood up, Draco was a lot taller than you were and when he stood he towered over you, "So that's all I am now? A best friend?" he said giving you a look of hunger and anger, he raised his hand up to your chin and slowly raised your head up to look at him "And just why can't we be something more hm?" he said biting his lip.

His words made you explode with butterflies and you began to blush, but you knew this was wrong, you raised your hand to take hold of the hand that was on your chin and slowly pulled it away.

"You know damn well that i'm with Cedric now right?" you said removing his hand     "Ok? And? That doesn't mean that we can't fool around" Draco said in a dark and lustful voice. You could've melted into the floor right then and there but you liked Cedric not Draco. Right?

"Draco please, I'm loyal to Cedric," you said, Dracos lustful face turned dark and fueled with anger. "I saw you two," he said hesitantly. "You saw what?" you said worried "I saw the two of you together in the shower" he said both angry and nervous. "You eavesdropped?!" you said concerned

"Yes I did, but I don't understand, why him? I loved you first and you chose him?" he said sounding both hurt and frustrated. "I could treat you better than he ever could, just give me a chance y/n, please" he said. "I did give you a chance, Draco but  you blew it."

Dracos anger only intensified and it was starting to get worrisome, you knew you needed to leave before he started to do anything that he would regret. "Goodbye Draco" you said in a disappointed voice as you turned to walk away.

Later that evening while just relaxing, a note got delivered with a little package connected to it. Out of curiosity you approached the gift and opened the package, when you opened it, it was a tiny little potion with no label except for it saying *Drink me* you obliged to drinking and instantly felt a rush of attraction rush through you.

And who was this attraction directed towards? Draco Malfoy.
