Chapter 5: The Common Room

I finally got into the Hufflepuff house and went to the girls dormitory, when I got into my dorm I plopped all my luggage on my bed and grabbed the book I was currently reading and I headed down to the common room to relax for a little while.

When I got down there, there wasn't anyone there except for me which was kindove nice to enjoy. I then took a seat on one of the couches and began to read my book.

While in the middle of reading a boy came into the common room, I had never seen him in my past two years at the school, he was actually rather cute, and that's when he noticed I was checking him out.

I quickly glanced back to my book to avoid eye contact, but it was to late he already saw me looking at him. He then walked over to me and sat right next to me,

" So your checking me out then huh?" He said with a smile" I blushed " whattttt who said that, I wasn't checking you out" I said sarcastically, he chuckled "oh is that so?" He said "mhm" I said, "so what are you reading there hm?" Cedric said "oh it's just a book about like romance and stuff nothing interesting" I said "Romance huh? That seems pretty interesting to me" Cedric said grabbing the book out of my hands "Hey give that back!"

I said reaching for it "nuh uh uh I'm looking here" he said holding it far away out of my reach. "Ah so you really really like romance, this is a pretty dark romance one" he said,

"you've read it?" I asked, of course I have, that ones a classic, I love the romance genre, and plus who doesn't want to read about romance anyway" he said flirtatiously "you'd be surprised actually" I replied "well hey at least we both like it" he chuckled "yeah at least we do" I laughed back. "I'm Y/N  Y/L/N by the way" I said holding out my hand "I'm Cedric Diggory" he replied shaking my hand

"So are you new here Cedric?" I said , "Yes as a matter of fact I am" he said laughing "well I hope you like it here, I could even be your tour guide if you want" I said flirtatiously,  "yeah I'd love that y/n" he chuckled a little then started to blush.

I then checked the time "Oh, right about now everyone is supposed to be heading to the dining hall for supper" I said , "Well then what are we waiting for let's go, we can even walk together" Cedric replied in a flirty way,

"Yeah that'd be great, boy am I glad I met you, I finally know someone in the Hufflepuff house" I said , "I'm glad I met you too, now we both don't have to be alone" he chuckled "here" he said handing back my book and holding out his arm for me to hold onto "why thank you Cedric" I said blushing, I then linked my arm with his and we walked down to the dining hall.
