Chapter 15: Confrontation

~ After those few wonderful weeks with Cedric you knew that you couldn't avoid confronting Draco alllll year so you knew you would have to do it soon. ~

It was a calm and breezy fall morning, you were getting excited because it was now October which meant all kinds of fun activities. But before you could get to all the fun stuff you knew what you had to do.....

You had gotten dressed and were down in the great hall having some breakfast, but you were having a hard time eating since all you could think of was how you were gonna scold Draco for telling such disgusting lies to the whole school.

After a few moments of you giving the death stare to Draco at the slytherin table, Cedric had noticed your distraught "What wrong y/n/n?" he asked, putting his hand on your back giving you a gentle rub. You jolted from the sudden contact and quickly acted like everything was fine.

You didn't want to worry Cedric with what you were planning on doing after breakfast so you lied "Oh nothing i'm fine, just not hungry" you said giving a very fake smile. Obviously Cedric knew you were lying, he'd recently gotten very good at telling when you were lying to him.

"Now you know I don't buy that don't you?" he asked caulking an eyebrow, you had completely forgotten that you and Cedric were even talking as you continued to give the biggest death stare to Draco. Cedric had noticed your lack of attention to him and he then placed his head next to yours to see what you were looking at.

"No" Cedric said in disbelief "You really weren't gonna tell me?" he said sitting back up and looking down at you. You broke out of your death stare and became aware of your surroundings again. "Agh, how did you know?" you said acting annoyed "Come on, I think everyone on this table could figure out who you're staring at, you look like you're trying to kill him with just your eyes." Cedric said laughing.

"Is it really that noticeable?" you asked laughing with him "Yes, very, so are you really going to talk to him today?" Cedric asked. "Yes I know I need to, that was a really disgusting thing for him to do, and did you know just a few days before all of that he had apologized to me about his behavior?? And now look at em." you said gesturing towards him.

"Well that's just bloody disgusting if I do say so for myself." Cedric said, taking a bite of his breakfast. "Damn right it's disgusting, that's why I need to stop avoiding confrontation and to just do it." you said "Well i'm coming with you when you do it, just so you know, no way in hell am I letting you talk to that pig alone." he said with a scowl.

"Woah calm down there big guy" you said laughing "I can handle myself, but if you really want to come you can." you said taking a swig of your drink. "You think you can handle yourself? Last time I remember Malfoy and his goons were planning on making you go with them, until I came in." he said with a snarky tone.

"Alright, Alright, you got me there" you said giggling "I Know" said Cedric

You both had finished your breakfast and it was now time to go and confront Draco. You both watched as Draco got up from the slytherin table and headed out to the courtyard with his goons Crabbe and Goyle. "Ok let's go now" you said to Cedric grabbing his hand and slowly walking with him.

Draco was talking to Crabbe and Goyle when you both approached them. "Oh pleasant seeing you y/n" Draco said with a smile "Oh shut it Malfoy" Cedric said, his smile instantly disappeared "Why did you say all those nasty rumors about me Draco!" you asked sternly.

Draco looked clueless and scared "What are you talking about y/n" he said "You know EXACTLY what im talking about" you said taking a step closer "N-no i s-swear I don't y/n!" Draco said sounding nervous "OH! Well then LET ME REMIND YOU! You told just about the entire school that we had been sleeping together! Ring any bells now?!" you asked in rage

Draco's eyes shot open "What the bloody hell are you talking about! I never ever said such a thing!" Draco said in disbelief, he immediately turned to Crabbe and Goyle. "Alright, which one of you was it?!" Draco yelled.

You and Cedric both gave each other confused faces. "I-it wasn't m-me" Crabbe said nervously "Well then was it you Goyle!" yelled Draco, Goyle didn't say a word he just stared at the floor. "SO IT WAS YOU!" WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!" Draco yelled. "You were just so upset and I wanted to get back at y/n to piss her off" Goyle said, still looking at the floor.

"ARE ACTUALLY MENTAL!? WHY WOULD I WANT THAT??" Draco yelled, " i-...i don't know, i'm sorry Malfoy." Goyle said. You and Cedric just sat there in disbelief the whole time watching and listening to every word.

"DON'T SAY SORRY TO ME SAY SORRY TO Y/N!" Draco yelled once more. By now everyone in the courtyard was watching all of this go down. "I'm s-sorry y/n" Goyle said "It's ok *you paused* Goyle" you said, still holding Cedrics hand the whole time. "I'll finish talking to you later!" said Draco to Goyle "Now go !" they both bolted out of there instantly.

Draco turned back around to the two of you "I'm really sorry guys, I had no idea at all, I'm actually really glad that you guys have each other...." Draco said with hurt in his eyes "I'll make sure that the rumor ends, sorry that you had to go through that y/n..." Draco said giving a soft smile.

At that moment you felt so stupid and awful, Draco was just misunderstood. "I'm sorry that I came off so awfully, I shouldn't have assumed" you said looking down "No, I totally understand, i'm just sorry that you had to go through it." Draco said going in for a friendly hug. You let go of Cedrics hand and gave Draco a hug, when he then whispered "I miss you" you felt butterflies and replied with "I miss you too."

You both pulled away from the hug and Draco left the courtyard. Cedric put his arm around you and you put your arm around his back "Well that went well" he said with a chuckle "Yeah, it sure did " you said laughing back.

You both went on with your day. And you were just happy that all was well, and that you had your best friend back.
