A place like this could make one homesick. Garrett thought to himself as he sat on the outside, up against the building. He has been watching a Walker on the other side of the fence try to get at him. This female Walker seemed middle-aged and had gray eyes, a pale complexion, and curly blond hair left uncut.  She is short, somewhat thin, and is wearing outrageous clothing.  She was missing her nose.

Being in here was better than being out there with her. He was tired, he wanted night to come so that he could lay down his head. After Doug finished talking to them, Dave came back in and walked them out. He then had Garrett and the others meet nearly everyone that lived here. But what was the point of meeting the others if they were getting kicked out in a few days? They couldn't be send back out there, it ain't like it was before.

The side door of the building opens up and a young women comes out carrying a bucket of water. Garrett knew she was the kind of girl that women loved to hate. She was probably an adult he thought too himself, but so young that she still had the exuberance of youth. This was someone he has not met yet.

She had that movie star look, not overly tall and willowy, but more like an action star. Her muscle definition was perfect and she walked with the confidence of someone a decade older. Her black hair coming down to about her shoulders. She wasn't just flawless in her bone structure, but as he looked upon her face her skin was like silk over glass and she radiated an intelligent beauty.

She hasn't noticed Garrett staring at her as she walked up to the Walker by the fence. She then promptly emptied the bucket of water onto the Walker. Which caused Garrett to burst out laughing. She jumped and turned around to face him.

The soaking wet, and enraged Walker began to growl and moan as she stepped away from the fence. "Sorry, I didn't realize anybody was out here." Her face got red from embarrassment.

"That's alright." Garrett chuckled as he stood up. "You gave me a pretty good laugh. I don't remember the last time I laughed like that."

He started to walk towards the door but then she spoke again. "Are you part of the group that came in today?" Garrett nodded in her direction. "I'm Lilly...Lilly Carter."

"I'm Garrett Meter." He out reached his hand to offer a hand shake. She quickly held the bucket with her one hand and shook his hand.

"Sorry I wasn't able to met you all earlier. I saw Dave introducing everyone..... I was up in my room, with my Grandfather. He's been sick." She started to explain.

"I'm sorry...." Garrett tried to end the conversation, but she continued talking.

"I don't always throw water at Walkers...." Lilly told him still embarrassed about the whole situation. "Maybe I could show you at dinner, when Carol and Debbie are done cooking?"

He smiled at the thought of he was getting picked up by a girl at the end of the world. He wasn't thinking, but his mouth opened anyways. "Sure, I'd like that." He smiled back at her. He held the door open for her as they both entered the warehouse.

She shyly smiled and waved goodbye has she walked up the stairs back to her room. Garrett walked to the other side of the building and began to walk up the stairs. He wanted to check on Connor after being shot.

The stairs fell too close to together and were uncommonly narrow. The guide rail didn't seem to safe to hold on to. It would jingle about every time Garrett placed his hand on it to steady himself. It was hard to tell the original color of the hand rail, pieces of paint chipped off as his hand grabbed it.

He got to the doorway of the medical room and looked inside. A small, petite girl was wrapping his arm up in a bandage. She had brown, curly hair, which fell a couple of inches past her shoulders. "Were you a doctor?" Garrett asked leaning up against the doorway.
