"Stay together!" Garrett shouted as he plunged the machete into a female Walker with a ponytail. They were in an area that he knew well, they were almost to the farm house. Unfortunately, they stumbled into a herd of Walkers. "Don't separate!"

The formation that they were in was simple. The group formed a circle around the two girls, with Jessica holding onto them. Davie was to his left, and Lilly was to his right. Everyone seemed to be doing there fair amount of slaughtering.

Yet again Garrett swung his machete, nearly cutting a Walker's head in two as it slumped to the ground in a heap. He doesn't know how many he killed by now. Maybe ten or so since the attack had started? Sometimes, when he swung the machete he would get attacked by a warm, red liquid. It sprung upon him almost every time he killed one with his machete. He knew what it was.

Looking to his right, he saw that Lilly had her hands full. In a frozen second their eyes locked as she held off two Walkers. Her face was unreadable, no fear, no invitational smirk to help her. One of the Walkers she held off slipped away from her hand, and its jaws landed on her arm and she let out a scream that could have made the dead rise, that is if they weren't already walking.

There is no pleasure in her face, as one never expected there to be. She continued to let out a scream as she pushed the Walker away and her arm ripped out of the Walkers mouth.

He didn't know what to do, but his body seemed to be doing everything for him without thinking. He took out his colt from the holster and fired it off in the direction of the Walker that bit Lilly. The first bullet hits it's chest and doesn't even seem to slow it down. The second bullet entered it's skull and the Walker fell instantly. The second Walker was as on her William grabbed and destroyed with a knife through the temple.

"Will, fill the gap!" Garrett knelt down next to Lilly as William grabbed her pistol from her and started to go to work. Garrett quickly looked in the bag that they have gotten off of the guy, he started to look for bandages to slow the bleeding. "You'll be alright."

Panic set in.

"Garrett, stop." Lilly had a peaceful look on her face as she held the bit mark on her arm.The mud and grit had become enmeshed with raw pink flesh and was spotted with blood. She was going to turn. "It isn't you're fault."

He wasn't paying attention to her. He was trying in vain to find something to find a bandage of some sort. "Everything we be fine." His voice was in a panic still.

"You need to stop." She grabbed his arm out of the bag. "You need to help the others right now. I can take care of myself." The others continued to put down the dead, the numbers were finally starting to thin out.

Once again, he ignored her. He looked at the machete, and then looked at her arm. The bite is what kills you. If he could stop the infection from spreading, he could save her.

He gripped the machete in his hands while he was on his knees. "Hold your arm out." He swallowed hard as she did so with a confused look on her face. "I'm sorry." He muttered as he brought the machete down onto her arm. He separated it at the elbow.
