Klaus took me to Jades the next day. We had decided it was best that only the two of us go; she knew Klaus and I had the ring. It was only fitting that I got some answers and handed the ring back myself.

We drove through an estate that looked so similar to where I used to live; tall houses on either side of the road, kids playing out front and everyone looking happy. So where's the family like mine in this street? I sighed thinking back to my childhood, looking out my bedroom window on the third floor watching the kids play games in the street, kicking a ball or jumping rope, wanting to go play. But no one liked me. No one wanted to play with me. And more often then not, I had some sort of cut, bruise or scrape that made it hard to bend an arm or leg, or move my head.

I took a sharp intake of breath and it came out very jaggered. "You OK, love?" Klaus asked, looking between me and the road.

"Yeah" I lied, trying to put on a smiled. "Just try not to hit a kid."

Klaus smirked and looked over to me, "Wouldn't dream of it."

We finally pulled up to a house at the end of the road. It was bigger than the others; a front porch and a tree swing out front. The house looked picture perfect, everything you'd dream your future family home would look like. I guess dating a vampire wouldn't give me this; a future or a family.

Klaus got out the car and slammed the door shut. I took in a few breaths, preparing myself for whoever I was about to meet. Klaus came round to my side and opened the door, "ma'lady."

"You know I wasn't waiting for you to open that, right?" I said as I got out the car.

"I know. But if you think too much about it, you wont go knock."

"You're knocking. She knows you" I explained as we walked up the path. I could see in through a window. A blonde sat at a table with two kids, they were colouring or something artsy. "she has kids" I whispered as we made it onto the porch and to the front door.

"Well, lets hope she continued the family tradition" He smiled and knocked on the door, ringing the bell too.

The door swung open quickly. I jumped back at the shock of her opening the door so quick, why on Earth would she look so mad.

"Klaus. What the hell are you doing here?" She whispered with a harsh undertone, as if she didn't care what the answer was.

"Afternoon Jade, lovely day. Why aren't you outside with the other parents?" he smirked

"None of your business." she looked at me and frowned, "Who the hell are you?"

"Ah, let me introduce Olivia" Klaus smiled and took me by the shoulders, "Olivia has something that may belong to you." he gently pushed me closer to the door and took a step back himself.

"You're not a vampire."

"n-n-no, Miss Stonewell. But how do you know?"

"Well as you know my name, you know my family. I can smell vampires, I can smell magic that my family created" she looked over to Klaus, "Could smell you as you pulled up."

Klaus just smirked and stayed out of it.

"I have this" I took the ring out my pocket and held it out to Jade, "My cousin gave it to me. He found it in our uncles house after he died. It belonged to his ex girlfriend." I explained as Jade looked at the ring in shock, "I knew her as Christie, but I'm guessing you knew her as Crystal."
