There is no truth in our love,
Say it's true
We have nothing beyond me and youThere is no justice in our arguments, no comfort in our faults
What we share is merely a fantasy, we see the other as an experiment
Someone who could be, not someone who already is
We don't take responsibility for the mess we've made, we don't clean up our lies, we expose the cracks in our foundation but leave them unchecked.
There is no proper healing, no satisfaction from our ways,
We just stay because it's easier, because I it's harder to walk away
It's hard to admit defeat, to admit to foolishness and to admit to weakness
But we were weak from the beginning
We hurt each other, left battle scars that wouldn't heal
We left broken hearts on the field.
So tell me, were we wrong, or right?
When would we see that lines had already been crossed, borders invaded?
Were we wrong to choose to be selfish, were we right to stay?
Was there ever happiness for us anyways?
