stealing chocolate on rainy days,
the sweetness was our solace
making faces on the windows
The raindrops should have warned us
dry our hair on battered wings,
share stories in the wind
taking apple juices shots straight outta the bottle
cause we thought it was cool
we thought we were cool
so why is there distance?
what didn't we do?
my hand feels so empty without you
why is there such a divide?
when did love lose to time?
when did you stop being mine?
we'd race to be older
you'd always get bolder
the world bent at your will
watching movies and drawing, waiting for time to kill
speaking with the moon
he'd never tire of our stories
he said we were cool
we knew we were so cool
so why is there distance?
why don't you miss us?
still hear your laugh in these walls
why is there such a divide?
why did you fade with time
will I ever know why?
