It is the name marked by the moon, the one that is most difficult to summarize because it encompasses almost everything. Remus is that boy he met the first day at the Hogwarts express, full of childish joy but Sirius, nevertheless, occupied an entire compartment with all his suitcases so that no one who didn't like him would sit down and spoil his trip. Remus is the face that peeked into the compartment from the door, with those huge almond eyes and his hair wet from the insistent rain and a robe too big and said:

"Excuse me, do you mind if I sit with you?" and he sneezed and added "Sorry, I'll look elsewhere."

Remus is the kid who made Sirius feel sudden sympathy, and without thinking too much about it he put away his bags, and say "sit down, man, it's free. "

The boy who dragged his suitcase with effort and showed him an enchantment so that the crystals would not fog up and they could see the landscape, reached out his hand and said, with a sobriety that would always be his "Remus Lupin, delighted" and sneezed again as Sirius smiled and introduced himself. "Black. Sirius Black".

Remus is the shadow of an older man in a body that will always seem somewhat lanky, as if it grows too fast, without conforming completely to himself. He will always be the boy who sat under the sorting hat and was literally swallowed by that huge garment that said "Griffyndor!" before almost finishing landing on his shoulders. Remus is that omnipresent nose, a book under his face, and a half-smile that reaches his eyes before appearing on his lips. Remus is a muggle gramophone and a dry joke when no one expects it. Remus is the one who always resists staying up late but can never sleep when the full moon is coming. Remus is in pain in his virgin state when one night a month he explodes, he breaks apart, he goes off in a thousand pieces, and sometimes, when the first pain comes, the first contraction of the moon under the skin, he puts his hand to his chest and closes his eyes, clenches his teeth, moans, mumbles his name. "It's coming, Sirius. I already notice it". Remus is the true spirit of the Marauders Map. The one who figured out how to do it when none of the James's spells are working. Remus is everything Sirius will ever be, patient, warm as early morning tea, sensible, sickly, clumsy. Remus always knows what to say and is the only one who manages to tame the character of the Blacks, with a look, just a gesture, just a smile. "You've always been a bad dog, Padfoot".Remus is the one who baptized him that night when they decided to be Animagi and James was elated and wanted to be Prongs and proposed that Sirius be "Fleafy", making Peter laugh for hours and Remus, with that quiet mood pushed his bangs away from his face and corrected him."We should call you ... Padfoot". Remus is something Sirius can hardly explain. The best wizard of Hogwarts, probably, although he doesn't know it himself. But more than that, Remus is what makes Sirius Black believe again that magic is something more than inordinate power. With Remus, magic is something else. Something better for which Sirius has no words. His faith in magic is part of his faith in Remus Lupin, who always seems distracted and concentrated at the same time, absent and present, and what it is, Sirius always knew that he is the person who most strongly awakens his doggish instincts of overprotectiveness.

Sirius then went looking for Malfoy in the Slytherin tower. Walking with big strides. He approaches him unceremoniously. Grabs him by the lapels of the shirt and pushes him against the wall, and raises him two feet off the ground without pretend effort. The rest of the Slytherin don't have time to react.

- It's just a warning, Malfoy. If you ever mess with Remus again or I find out that his life has been less than pleasant because your stinking presence has bothered him in some way, shape or size, I will take care of cursing you with a spell so disgusting that you wish I have drowned you here and now. Have I expressed myself clearly?

There is hatred in Malfoy's gaze but he can't answer. Sirius seems satisfied and drops him. Take three steps to leave and hear Lucius from the ground, almost without voice.

- What happens? Can't Lupin defend himself?

He turns. He is about to spit at him and holds himself back.

- See, if you understand, Lucius. Remus is too good to put one hand on top of you.

Remus is the best of all, damn it.
