Remus dreams images without any particular format, he hears barking and feels something breaking his stomach and bleeds out. They are killer jaws that look like a dog but maybe they are gunpowder, hatred, death. He turns between sweaty sheets, awake, asleep, suffering.
At school, everyone wonders what is happening and why it sounds like wild animals howl between the limestone walls.
When Remus wails in pain, he howls.
