Remus has correct handwriting that leans just a bit slightly to the right, which rises with studied delicacy in the T's and L's, and goes down smoothly on the G's and J's. When night falls and James retires to his room, Sirius reads his letter in the privacy that the camping tent gives him, the one that he has set up in the Potters' garden.

He has no heading but could recognise his handwriting in a million letters.

The last words make Sirius's tent shrink. Small. Something suffocating. Remus has signed as "Moony" and just before he has written "Yours,". He is not sure if it is a way of speaking or he has also measured that parting, as he always measures everything. He doesn't know if he is really his and if he can ask him to tell him, in detail, what it is exactly what they have never done that Remus miss so much.
