It took the rest of the group exactly half an hour to reach Xavier's house. After an intense talk with his sister, Xav decided to invite the rest of the group over to his house knowing that all of them were worried for both of them too.

Kelsi and Xavier had been huddling in a corner all this time as they dealt with their personal isssues while Simon coordinated with the group. As for me.....I spent the last half an hour biting my nails off as I thought about all the connections I had made so far. Turns out, I had caught onto Xavier's habit of fiddling with my necklace too, the one given to me by him. The one that had 'you are enough' engraved on it.

"What are we going to do now?" Jerko whispered in my ear as we all sat in the living room while Xav dug something up for us to eat.

"I have an idea," I whispered back. "Distract Roy while I take his phone and get David's number."

"David?! As in the dude from the tracks?? The dude who hates you?"

"The very same one."

"Why?!"

"Because he knows Xavier for a long time and he seems like a guy who might have the answers we need."

"And if he doesn't?"

"Then he'll help us find them," I said with a shrug.

"Why would he help you out of all people anyway?"

"Because from what I have seen so far, his love for Xavier is deeper than his hatred for me."

"Are you sure about this guy, SpongeBob?" Jerko asked, concerned. "I could come with you to meet him, if you want."

"If Xavier trusts him, I trust him," I said with conviction. "Besides, it'll be hard enough for me to get David to open up when its only me. You coming might cause problems. Don't worry though, I'll keep you posted."

He nodded apprehensively as he quickly invited Roy to sit on his other side and got him engaged in a really deep conversation about his and Penelope's growing closeness. After Xavier's confession to me, Roy didn't waste any time in telling his best friend about his new love interest. The idiot couldn't even wait for a whole day to 'move on' from me.

Seeing the perfect opportunity, I walked over to the table besides Roy on which he had kept his phone and picked his phone up inconspicuously. Then, walking over to another room, I quickly searched for David's phone number.
For such a great hacker, the idiot didn't even have a password on his phone. Within no time, I had typed in the phone number under the contact saved as 'Dave' and hurried outside to keep his phone back where it was.

I quickly gave Jerko a subtle 'thumbs up' as I came back and sat on the sofa. I turned to my left as I felt it dip besides me, though.
"What's gotten into you, love?" Xav asked me as he put an arm around my shoulder and saw my nervous expression.

"Nothing important," I said as I shook my head.

It seemed as if he was in deep thought for a while after which he said, "Hey, what do you feel about a proper date?"

"I would love it!" I said, my excitement immediately shadowing my worry.

"Great. So arrange for one and I'll be there," he said with a smirk.

I pouted as I slapped his arm away.
"Meano," I said as I crossed my hands childishly.

He laughed as he untangled my hands, gave me a small peck on the lips and said, "You know I was joking."

"I do," I huffed, trying to downplay the warmth and giddiness I felt after kissing him. "But now you pay the price for it."

"A price for playing a joke?!" he asked, amused.
