I grinned as I pressed the back button. By the looks of it, my plan had already started working and tomorrow, with the entire group helping me, Xav wont have a choice but to admit his feelings to me.

Just as I was about to switch my phone off and go to sleep, the notification ringtone went off. Thinking that it was from Xav, I rushed to check it only to find a text from a random person on my site.

TheDevil: Wait for my message. We'll soon be in touch with each other.

I frowned at that. This person creeped me out. What the hell?

I decided to do what I do best, ignore the problem till it goes away.
So I shut my phone and went to sleep, eager for the chaos that was going to ensue tomorrow.

I huffed as Roy killed the engine to his black Mazda and turned to look at me.

"We're really doing this, huh?" he asked as he visibly gulped.

"Yupidy yup yup!" I exclaimed, excited to see Xav's reaction.

"He is legitimately going to kill me. My best friend is going to kill me today."

"Oh, hush!" I said as I rolled my eyes. "Stop overreacting. He was the one who pushed you in this direction anyway."

"Yeah, a direction he expected me to take a step in. I did a whole freaking jump!! You have no idea how scared I was when I saw his message yesterday. He was like 'Heard you are driving Veronica to school tomorrow. Nice.' "

"That was the point, you idiot. We need to get a reaction out of him."

"I know. I know. Lets just get this over with," he said as he sighed and we got out of the car.

People in my school really liked seeing others get out of vehicles, it seemed. First it was Jerko and Xav, and now Roy and I. Whispers started everywhere almost immediately.

"Who's that she's with?"

"Damn. First Austin, then the rumour of her being with Xavier and now this guy. You go girl."

"How does she get all the hot ones to hang out with her?"
I saw Roy smirk at that as we walked towards the doors with his hand on my waist. I subtly elbowed him and said, "Get that smirk off, Keller."

"Xav is the one that hates attention, Ver. Not me," he said smugly

By the time we were in the hallways, I was pretty sure half the student body knew about us. I saw the group waiting for us at a distance and just as we were walking towards them, I was stopped by someone.

"Ver, hey. Long time, huh?"

She was one of those 'mean girls' you read about in books or saw in cliché's. With her long blonde curls and naturally beautiful face, she was one of the prettiest girls I had ever seen. Too bad her heart wasn't so 'pretty'. She had always been one to thrive on attention and always hung around guys that would only help boost her social status. Before I started seeing Ryan, the two of them had dated for about six months. I guess pathetic attracts pathetic.
