"Veronica?" Xavier asked me, worried, as he saw the horrified expression on my face. "What's wrong, love?"
How did he get access to the site again? I had asked Will to block him off.
"Nothing," I said as I looked at him with a convincing expression. "I just came to know that we have an AP calculus test tomorrow."
Chocolatelover123: I had blocked you from my site. How did you get in?
"You came to know about that right now?" he asked me with a frown on his face. "I thought that Principal Warner had made that announcement to the entire grade."
TheDevil: Is that the question you want to ask me, Veronica? How about you answer mine first. What are you willing to do if Xavier's life is on the line?
Don't freak out. Do Not freak out.
"I, uh, I must've been in the washroom or something when he came to our class," I said as I cleared my throat and responded to him.
Chocolatelover123: I'm tired of your threats. You're going to jail tomorrow.
I couldn't take Xavier with me to the police station right now. He'd very obviously figure everything out. My only option was to go to the station first thing after my school tomorrow because technically, I did know about that calculus test and I couldn't afford to miss it since it carried a high percentage of the overall grade.
TheDevil: Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Don't try scaring me off, Ms. Silverstone. No one should know about our conversations and I want it to remain that way. You don't want to find out what can I do.
"Hey, Xav?" I asked him as I tried my best to hold myself together. "Could you just drop me off at Jerko's? I'm really tired."
"Love, what's wrong?" he asked me as he put his palm on my face in a comforting manner. I shut my eyes as I momentarily forgot about everything and simply took in his presence. Sooner than I would've liked to, I backed away as I said, "Nothing, really. It's just that my head is hurting a little and I want to be completely fit for the test tomorrow, that's all."
Chocolatelover123: And what would that be?
"Okay," he said with a small nod as he quickly packed everything up and loaded it into his car.
The ride home was quiet. Neither one of us said anything as he drove me home. The moment he cut the ignition of the car, just as I was about to get out, he whispered, "Trust works both ways, you know that right?"
I stopped dead in my place as he said that. "I do."
"Then you know how important is it for me to know that you trust me enough to tell me things."
I visibly gulped at that. Now was not the correct time for this.
"I'm not stupid, Veronica, neither am I blind. I can clearly see that something has been bothering you for a while now but I'm not pushing you into telling me about it because I want you to tell me by your free will. But please - and I couldn't stress enough on this - please don't hold back from me, okay?""Yeah, of course," I said, not really meeting his eyes. "Anyway, its getting late and Jerko might be awake because I'm not home yet, so I should really go."
With a small smile in my direction and a faint kiss on my forehead he said, "Goodnight, love. I'll see you tomorrow."

Its a strange thing, the effect fear can have on you.
I didn't sleep that night. Jerko tried asking me about my date but I walked away, telling him I was too tired to even put together a coherent sentence.
