//Hey guys,
So before the chapter starts I just want to clear one thing. Xavier's name is spelt as 'Zavier' not 'Ex-avier'.Some people spell that name differently so I just wanted to let you guys know how I would pronounce it, but if you guys prefer the other pronounciation... That's cool too!
Anyways.... Happy reading!!
Until next time.//

Settling in someplace new, I've heard, is difficult for most. After Kelsi and I were told we will have to shift schools, I was dreading about the same thing. The fear of not fitting in.
Our old school, Jefferson High, had to shut down after the media got wind that the entire faculty working was involved in some drug scandal. Yes, the owners too.
They were apparently using the school as a front to smuggle in drugs and stuff. Now that story sounded like a bunch of shit to me but I didn't really bother digging in deep. The school was in the not good part of town anyway and most of the kids that went there were shady.
Thank God, though, that I had got in enough money just a few weeks ago for Kells and I to go to a new school. To a 'good' school. My sister and I were only a year apart but she had skipped a year in between so she was in the same grade as I.
On the day my parents got in the car crash, just before they were going out to dinner, my mom had come into my room to tell me to always take care of Kells. I often wondered if she had gotten an intuition that something bad was going to happen to them. Maybe that was why she came and told me that.
I think it's safe to say that I never broke that promise. I know, sometimes I might as well just act like a parent to Kelsi but I couldn't help it. I couldn't break my promise to mom.First day of Weatherford High, and things were just about okay.
I went for the football tryouts and got myself a place on the team. Football was the second thing that came almost as naturally as breathing to me. That would explain why I was Captain in my previous school too."That was great, son," said Coach Micheals.
"You've played before?""Um, yes sir. In my previous school."
"What position?"
"Quarterback."
"Figured as much. Let me guess. You were Captain too?"
"Yes sir," I said.
"You have talent kid. The only other people on the team who have such talent are Carter and Miller. Wait, let me call them."
I simply nodded at that.
About two minutes later two guys came up to us. Both were tall, well built and looked like athletes.
One of them had brown hair while the other was a blonde. Even though I didn't know them, I could tell the blonde one was a major douche. The proud walk, the scowl on his face, the cheap gestures he kept making at the girls passing by, were all evidence of it.
On the other had, the brown haired boy looked more friendly. He had a smirk on his face and his personality didn't scream 'asshole' like the guy besides him.
Five years without your parents teach you to read people like that since there is no one to protect you from strangers.
The boys came and stood in front of me.
"Carter, Miller, I want you two to meet Anderson over here. The kid is new, but I haven't seen that kind of a game in tryouts since you two had first come to me."
The guys looked at me. The brown haired guy, whom the coach had called Carter, smiled at me while the blondie scowled.Coach then looked towards me and said, "Anderson, these two are the top two players on my team. That's the Austin Carter and this is Colin Miller. Now I know you are new but I want you to come and try for Captain in about two weeks time. Our previous Captain just finished school so we are looking for a new one. Boys," he said looking at the two, "Why don't you guys tell Mr. Anderson how things work on the team. I have to go separate those two teenagers there who have chosen the football field as their 'secret spot'."
