Xavier finally broke eye contact, a little apprehensively though, as he said to the audience, "And that was all for tonight. Thank you all for coming out here and supporting me! Until next time!"

With a dazzling smile in their direction, he didn't waste another second as he put his hand on my waist and ushered me towards the backstage. I'd be lying if I said that after 5 years of no contact, the feel of his hand on my waist didn't bring back a rush of feelings and emotions in me but I bottled them the best I could. I had to get a grip on myself. I was dating Leo now.

"THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL!" Jen yelled as she squealed from pure joy as the two of us came and stood in front of them.

"Babe!" Austin whined. "You woke Zeke up!"
Our eyes immediately went to the little cutie who was indeed stirring in his sleep now. Jen grinned sheepishly as she took her son from his father's hand and started putting him to sleep again.

The second Zeke was out of his hands, Jerko turned to me and screamed himself. "BOTH MY BEST FRIENDS ARE THE BEST SINGERS ON THE PLANET AND THAT'S A FACT!"

A scowl plastered itself on Jen's face as she saw her fiancé engulf me in a big embrace. "You cheater! You tricked me into holding Zeke so that you'd get to hug her first!"

"You snooze, you lose. And don't you know your son at all?! He could sleep through the apocalypse!" said Jerko as a matter of fact.

"Our son is three and he acts more mature than you!"

"Oh please-"

"GUYS," said Xav, stopping their bickering. "We don't have time. We need to get out of here before the press starts mobbing us again."

Realisation seemed to have dawned on everyone's faces as they all gave me quick hugs and rushed towards their cars.
"I'll take Kells home," said Roy as we quickly walked towards the parking lot. "Simon will drop Penn off at her house since his place is closest to hers.
With a nod in his direction, Xav took out the keys of his car and tossed it to Roy.

Confusion clouded my thoughts but before I could voice it, Simon whispered to me, "Its a recent trick we've thought of. The paparazzi immediately start following Xavier's car after any show so one of us always takes his car and drives circles around town, trying to lose them, while someone else drops him home."

"Wont the media just directly land up at his house, though?" I whispered back.

"Austin and Xavier, both have had to increase their security in these past years. The guards don't let any random person just walk in or surround the house," said Jamie, joining in on our conversation.

"I did that though," I said, even more confused. "I mean, sure, Leo and I did see a lot of security guards outside Jerko's house yesterday but none of them stopped me."

"Jen and I had showed your picture to each of those guards numerous times," said Jerko as he put an arm around me. "They were given strict instructions, that if they ever saw you around, they were to directly contact Mary so that she'd immediately let us know."

Makes sense. That's why it barely took her 10 seconds to come rushing to meet us. The guards must've told her I was back.

"Beatrice, you want us to drop you?" Sky asked her. "We have place in our car, if that's what you're worried about. Its only Jamie, Scarlett and I."

"That's not what I'm worried about, Sky," she said with a sad smile as she gave me a fleeting look. "Besides, I have got my car today," she said as she motioned towards her Volkswagen Rabbit.
I barely paid any attention to it though since right next to it was Xavier's Gallardo. It looked the same since the last time I had seen it five years ago. Same shiny black paint with it still looking in mint condition. Damn, had I missed that car. A lot of my great memories were attached to it.
