*Chapter 45: Picnic🎶

"What seems to be the problem here?" I froze, slowly peaking behind me at a man in uniform, standing by the door way with a serious look on his face. My heart felt like it wanted to pop out my chest at the sight of his beautiful eyes. His hair was still long, but it was shiny and well groomed. I found myself staring before he noticed me while the employee was explaining what happened. I flinched and lowered my scarf over my face. This... This is so sudden. I felt like passing out...

"And she won't even respond after what her Pokémon did!" The employee finished explaining what happened. Why, Rotom..? Why did it do that?! Is it because I didn't officially captured it and it wanted to jump into the most machines in one place as possible.

Nate walked up to me and leaned down to look at my face, but I couldn't let him see me "Ma'am, what was the reason for this?" He asked. His voice sounded so demanding... My heart couldn't take it. I ended up getting a nose bleed. I didn't notice it was a nose bleed until I touched my nose confused and saw the blood on my hands "You're bleeding. Are you okay?" He reached out to me. I flinched and jumped back, ended up falling on the floor and scoot away from him. I'm not ready... I'm not ready...

"Don't touch me!" I cried out, still hiding my face "I didn't mean this to happen!" I explained Rotoms story and why I didn't capture it "I don't know how to really train Pokémon. It's a new Pokémon and I need to save money, so I can't afford a Pokéball" I admit.

"Oh, I see" he kneed down to hand me a Pokéball. This isn't the first time he gave me a Pokéball... this brought back memories when he let me capture Litwick "luckily I have one in hand" I looked at the ball on his glove he was wearing. It won't count if I touch his glove, so he won't remember me if I reach for it...

I shakily took the ball and held it close to me "T-Thank you... I will take responsibility in what happened" he stood up.

"That's good. Hey, are the machines working?" He asked the employee. The employee went off to check on the machines before coming back and claimed that they were working fine "I'm sure the Rotom was just having some fun" Nate smiled "No need to take this further. Just be careful with your Pokémon" he offered his hand to me. I stared at it, unsure if I should "Is your nose still bleeding?" If he's wearing that uniform, it's definitely still bleeding "Come with me. I'll take you to the Pokémon center" I nodded and carefully took his hand, careful to not touch his skin, and was brought back up on my feet.

He smiled at me, which immediately made me want to pass out and lose balance "Oh!" He reached out to me. I panicked and fell on the floor again.

"S-Sorry!" I cupped my face, embarrassed "I'll stand on my own!" I got up quickly and almost fell again, feeling myself getting dizzy "I guess I haven't ate..." Nate sighed and waved to me.

"The Pokémon center should help. Losing blood on a empty stomach is not a good idea, so come with me" he offered his hand again. I shook my head and walked pass him to leave the arcade. He followed after me towards the Pokémon center.

"Hey" I flinched when he spoke "That dream catcher on your necklace. Where did you get to from?" I turned around to face him and looked at the dream catcher.

"Oh! This..?" I smiled "It was a gift... It's very precious to me. You can say it saved my life" I chuckled.

"My mom makes those dream catchers. She lives in Opelucid city" I nodded and smiled at him.

"Yeah! I'm aware. Her work is amazing" he came up to me and reached for the necklace he gave me and observed in his hand. I gulped, feeling my hands getting sweaty from how close he was "I-I got this as a gift too... from the same person"

"Your friend has good taste in gifts" he chuckled. I wanted to melt at his smile. Oh Nate... The fact that he doesn't remember our moments together hurts so much, but I can't do this right now.
