I'd say a majority of the songs I've used are by Selena Gomez, but I only find the songs that relate to the situation perfectly. I didn't have to add songs to this story, but I'd thought it would be nice for the main character to express how she feels through the music she loves. Some songs are obvious to know why they're sung while others may need a bit of a introduction, while some was just for the fun of it.

Also, many of the full songs aren't written in the story due to a long chorus or repeating. The words written are current and the whole song may not compare to that line

This song was the first one she sang, and it sums up the story pretty well with just this line. Dreams and nightmares make up this story, and I thought it was the perfect start

This song hit home for Camilla when she was barely awake and was thinking back on her dream, or nightmare, of her dad who was murdered right in front of her, before she prayed for strength to protect him. She never got to say goodbye and wished she had a bit more time. She was the only one who didn't hate him from her mom and Rosa. Since what happened to her was due to his lose, she knows he got the right to know what's going on. Even if she has a good memory, it came from the darkness boosting up her body, but she knew him before the darkness, which was a memory before her body changed. So she struggles to remember, but don't worry. She still does.

This song was added officially instead of fire drill. It went well to the situation that happened. Coincidentally She mentioned that she was gravity pulling everything down when it wasn't intentional. This song fit perfectly. She drives herself crazy because she's trying to not make anything about herself. She avoids her feelings and doesn't want Nate to look at her like he did before in chapter 15. She stacking up on problems she find unnecessary but doesn't have a choice since it's the human side of her thats making her feel this way.

Camilla sang this song for Rosa long after they encountered each other for the first time in years. The twin connection had been separated for so long that when they first reunited, everything felt right. Camilla loves her sister dearly, and finally found her missing piece. She felt torn without her and wanted nothing but to find her.
