*Chapter 26: Slumber

The four of us hid behind a rock while watching Team Plasma in the Giant Chasm talking. We waited for something to happen until everyone suddenly started looking like they were ready for something.

"I think they're on the move now" Nate said. Rosa jumped out first and walked up to the grunt that ordered the group of other grunts to leave so their job can start. I followed behind and faced whoever she was talking too.

"Thank you. I'm so glad you decided to help me" The rest of our friends came after. The grunt smiled at Rosa and nodded before noticing me and saw that we looked alike "this is my big sister, Camilla" the guy nodded and smiled, giving me a familiar greeting.

"I know, I was surprised to know you two looked alike when I met you" He told Rosa.

"Who is this guy?" Hugh asked suspiciously.

"He's a ex-Team Plasma member in disguise. He's the only one in the team I actually trusted since he didn't really seem like a bad guy" Rosa said "I ended up trusting him with my own plan, and we supported each other since he joined. I told him about you guys" Rosa explained excitedly.

"I didn't think you'd actually go as far as going back into the gang" I said, joking.

"Yeah, Rood asked me too" Nate came up to him.

"Oh yeah, you were the one we met in Driftveil"

"Oh yeah, I remember you" Hugh said "Being ex-Team Plasma is really rough, eh?"

"Yeah... You know, N was so nice to Pokémon... and all I wanted to do was protect Pokémon from bad people. Even if we said it was for Pokémon, in the end, we were doing what we wanted to do" Hugh sighed.

"Well, I suppose... If we don't crush Team Plasma, then guys like you and that N guy will always be treated like villains"

"Thanks for helping out. I really appreciate it" Hugh saluted and ran off.

"I'm out! Catch up!"

"He's always on the run. Doesn't he know when to slow down?" I sweat dropped.

"Not when it's something you want to protect" Rosa smiled at his direction. I looked at her and smiled at how happy she looked.

"Please excuse me. There's still something I have to do" The ex grunt waved and ran off. Rosa faced me and Nate.

"Come on! We still have much to do!" Nate nodded.

"Right! I'll follow you wherever!" Rosa smiled big and made a run for it. Nate was about to run before he saw that I wasn't moving "What's wrong, Cam?" I shook my head, glad to see him acting happier than usual.

"Nothing... Rosa is back in our lives. Isn't that great?"

"You don't look very happy"

"Of course I'm happy! That's my sister! I love her more than anything!" I hugged myself "I was just thinking... now that my sister is safe and sound, I wonder what that'll mean for us"

"I don't get what you mean"

"When you confess to Rosa, you'll want to spend more time with her. You're the only one who can handle me, so I won't have a guard anymore"

"Don't be ridiculous" he walked up to me "Being your guard is my job, a job you provided me. If you want to keep traveling, we can still travel" my heart skipped a beat.

"R-Really..?" He smiled.

"Of course. You can't get rid of me that easily. These pass few months have been wild, but it's been fun" he pet my head "Also, I don't plan on telling Rosa how I feel yet. I think it's better that she feels right at home after being away for so long. I'm not going to be saying these things to her so soon" I smiled and looked down. I have a little more time with him... "Right now, she can't feel at home if we just stand here. Let's go kick some ass" I nodded confidently and we ran to find Rosa standing near an exit that lead to a forestry area.
