I danced around the flowers in spring, humming to myself and enjoying the sun shining down my body while my white floral dress spun around with me, following my movements and the way the wind was blowing. I can't get enough of how sweet real freedom feels like.

"Nate-kun!" I yelled out as he left my house with a plate of cookies he made with his moms recipe. He walked over to me as I jumped to help him carry the plate "Arigato!" I said in Japanese.

"That means thank you, right?" He asked as we went off to sit back down on our picnic he set up for us earlier in the ranch. I had complained that there wasn't enough sweets since he kept babying me for not being allowed to have sugar, so he went off to make some.

"Yes!" I smiled "it's convenient to be bilingual, since I've lived in Sinnoh for a long time. I still can't help speaking this way sometimes"

"Hugh told me that you were friends with the champion of Sinnoh" I nodded proudly and munched on a cookie.

"She was my roommate back in the mental hospital" he nodded "She actually remembered me even after everyone lost their memories. Same goes for N. People who are corrupted in the head wasn't effected by the nightmare" I peaked to the side "I think that's why Phoenix remembered me without physically touching me"

"Yeah" Nate sipped his soda "He's pretty messed up in the head, but he's alright" he chuckled "We became friends the same way we met up again when he captured Virizion. I was out on a stroll one day and I found him losing a Pokémon he tried capturing. I was pretty young at the time and he's way older than I am. He caught me watching him and scared me at first 'cause of how he acted, but he taught me everything I know, plus some practice on my own" I put my hands together.

"And then he introduced you to the rest of the group?" He nodded "I'm sure they were proud of how talented you are! Do you still snipe?"

"No way" he huffed "that's the last time I'll ever do that. I didn't even fulfill the job because of you" he shivered a bit "I'm sort of traumatized" I giggled and ate another cookie "Seeing you like that... I didn't know how to feel. I couldn't keep my eyes off you as you were stabbing that guy" I lowered my cookie down a bit while watching the troubled look on his face "You were laughing, but what I noticed most was your expression" my expression? "Behind the laughing, I could tell you didn't want to do it. That darkness made you do so many bad things..." I looked at my cookie, frowning "I should had just stayed in the room with you. I kept blaming you, but I failed at my job"

"Don't be silly. You're talking about something that happened a long time ago"

"You were asleep for a whole year" I nervously laughed and ate the cookie again "Without remembering for a whole year and suddenly remembering, the memory became fresh"

"I see..." he sighed and finally ate a cookie with me "Cresselia helped me regain most of my energy back, but I don't think I'll ever be that strong again. Remember how I picked you up and threw you like nothing? And Hugh too!" I laughed "Definitely don't have that strength anymore" I ate another cookie "But that's okay. As long as I can live my life and take care of my champion duties and get to spend time with you and Rosa, I wouldn't want it any other way"

"Yeah" Nate smiled "I just wish we didn't have to work all the time. I miss being with you" he cleared his throat with a slight blush on his face "And your crazy self... though even if it's been a few months since we got together, I'm still getting use to your new personality. We don't get to spend that much time together for me to get use to it"

"I'm still me, but still a bit jumpy" a Mareep came up to me to lay next to me "Pokemon are no longer scared of me. I get scared easily, and I'm very shy still. To be honest, I'll need to get use to you being so nice to me"
