*Chapter 41: Nightmare

"Have you seen Nate at all?" Rosa asked while I walked her to the door the next day "Hugh has been worried about him"

"He upgraded to being a real cop, so I'm sure he's busy" I said. She nodded and looked down "what is it?"

"I just don't understand why you want me to give him a chance... I can see how much you like him. Have you told him how you feel?" I sighed and looked down, nodding "You did? What did he say?"

"I didn't give him the chance to answer. Listen, Rosa... I don't want you to think this matters. I'm okay with it. If you give him a chance, that would make me happy" I smiled "I know you like Hugh, but Hugh knows Nate likes you, so give it a shot. It won't hurt"

"Well... I guess" she frowned.

"What is it?"

"That would complicate things... Even if I give Nate a chance, there may not be a spark there. It would be awkward to go from Nate to Hugh... I'm not even sure if Hugh likes me or not, so I'm kinda stuck"

"Yeah... I get that. I won't push you to give him a chance, but it doesn't hurt. It's best to be honest in the end"

"Okay... Whenever I get the chance and if Nate ask me out, I'll go on a date with him, but I won't like it" she frowned at me "because I know you like him allot" I giggled.

"Just ignore all that. I know you will" she shrugged and looked outside the house "Want me to walk you to the airport?"

"No, I'm okay. Thank you again... Even if I'm back in this strange house, I had fun"

"What's so strange about it?" She peaked behind me into the house.

"I don't know... It just feels like someone was watching us" I'm not sure if it was my Pokémon that were being noisy, or it was the ghost Nate saw when we last came here "It was probably my imagination. I stopped coming here because I use to think there was a ghost in that house, but I'm being ridiculous" she took my hands "I had a fun time... Thank you for inviting me. I'll come back soon" I dug in my pocket and handed her a check "What is... HUH?!" She stared at the check Looker gave me the other day "W-What is this?!"

"The money I've earned during my years. Don't ask how I got it, but allot of it came from father's inheritance. I want you to take this and go to that school you wanted to go to... and make sure mother gets her best life. As well as your friends too!" She frowned at me.

"Camie! Why are you giving me this?! Why can't we share it?"

"I don't need any money. I'm fine here"

"You seriously are going to isolate yourself?! But this money! We can travel like Melanie wanted! Like how Hilda did!" I bit my lips and nodded.

"Yes... Melanie did want to travel, but she asked me to travel Unova in her place before traveling the world. I'll leave that in your hands" I hugged myself "I'm done traveling... I'll feel better in my room, like when I was a kid"

"Camie..." I hugged her one last time.

"I'll be happy to see you soon, but I'm sure you'll be busy. Put the money to good use. I love you" she hugged me back.

"You sound like I'm never going to see you again" she let go of me "I'll come to visit again. I'll do as you say and use this for school, but this is so much... We should travel soon" she ran off and stopped to wave at me "I love you! See you soon!" I waved back, watching her leave until she disappeared. As soon as she was gone, I gagged and threw up right then and there, almost collapsing on the black liquid and shut the door just in case she comes back to see me like this.

"Dammit..." I looked at the black liquid on my hands "My body grows weaker... That's why this keeps happening" I touched my face to see the liquid leaking from my eyes "I'm glad she didn't have to see that..." Chandelure came to me to help me back on my feet "Thank you..." I weakly went up the stairs with everyone helping me up the steps and into my room, where the Banettes came up to me to help rest me on the couch. I'm not suppose to use that bed yet, not until the new moon arrives to take my body away.
