*Chapter 51: Winter 🎶

I've spent months on my journey throughout two seasons; Summer and Fall, but now that it's winter, I feel awful. I sneezed in bed in my new home in the ranch and am getting enough rest to feel better.

The cold was never my favorite, and because I often forget to dress heavy, I got sick this one time after the party my family threw after I became champion.

"Why is it so cold?" I whined, looking at Chandelure on my ceiling warming me up "I need more blankets..." I covered myself with the blanket, but ended up getting too hot "It's hot!"

"Ori!" Oricorio flew into the room while levitating a hot cup of my tea.

"Oh! Thank you" I smiled as it was placed on the dresser to cool down "That should hit the spot... I should really learn to buy thicker clothing. Seems like the winter is more brutal around water" I remember when I traveled Unova during the winter with Nate, it was never this cold... not including Kyurem.

Kyurem was actually caught by N when he was traveling with Hilda so she could prepare to become champion again. It seemed fit he thought it would be best if it wasn't alone for the rest of its life. I can only imagine feeling the same way it had felt in a long time.

Back in the party Rosa threw for me, she was telling me about her time as I was away. She was in the middle of shooting her movie, but had some time off for winter break. She also talked about Hugh and saying she's ready to confess, like she keeps on saying over and over

"I just wonder what Hugh will end up saying if she builds the guts to confess" I chuckled "If he finds out I became champion after I lost to him when we last met, he'll be angry for not getting progress faster than me" I sighed and wiped my sweat away "Whatever he'll say, I hope Rosa doesn't end up beating herself up too much that she ends up sick like me... She always end up sick when she's stressed out" I sighed "I'm just sick because it's cold... Why did I have to get sick?"

"I cannot prevent illness." Cresselia said "Your immune system is not as strong as when it was when you were active. It will take time for it to get back to normal with your body" I sighed.

"I'm grateful that you're still around even after the last few months... I really was looked after by the gods" I smiled "The sooner I become better, the sooner I can go be with everyone for the holidays. Rosa noticed how I was feeling and became worried about me during the party, so I hope I can get better fast" the doorbell rang "Who's that?" I wrapped my blanket around me and slowly walked over to the window to see who it was. I almost fell back when seeing Nate looking out in the ranch, staring at Froslass watching him from outside.

"It's Nate!" I loud whispered. I rushed over to fix my hair before realizing that I'm going to end up using my blanket to cover me. Oricorio opened the door without my permission "Oricorio!" I rushed over to close the door, but Nate was already holding it open and saw me stop right in front of him. I ended up screaming and tripped on my blanket.

"Whoa!" Nate held me up and set my feet back on the floor "Be careful" he chuckled. His chuckle caused me to overheat and go weak on my knees. I collapsed again, unable to take how handsome he is... His voice is enough to trigger me.

"Goman-nasai..." I felt dizzy.

"Rosa told me you were sick, so I thought I'd come and help out since she's busy" He explained himself while picking me up and walk me to my living room "Where have I seen this furniture before?"

"They were my dads..." I covered my head "Y-You didn't have to come, you know..? You barely know me"

"Yeah, but I know enough to know that you're a pretty cool person. I don't mind" I smiled as he set down a to-go bag on the coffee table "I've been busy with work, so I haven't had the time to do much. I tended your garden for you... I know it's random, but..."
