*Chapter 27: Punishment

"Never avoid your slumber..." the voice spoke to me in my sleep "You agreed to always sleep when the sun goes down. You must... I've made exceptions, but this will receive a punishment" I chuckled.

"Oh you, do you really think I'm scared?"

"You're fearless nature comes from me, Camilla. Never forget where you came from" I played with my hair.

"I have other things to worry about right now, you know? Listen... You can give me a punishment all you want, but I'm ready to give it up soon. Just give me a few weeks or whatever. I'll know when it's time" I held my chest "You can have my body. I don't mind sacrificing it after all you've done for me. You can threaten me with a punishment all you want, but you'll get your promise sooner than what we agreed on" I held my hip "now please, wake me up so I can help everyone fight"

"... very well" I snapped my eyes open to see Nate carrying me outside.

"Hey?" Nate put me down when I wiggled to get back on the ground "I thought you were tired"

"I don't have time for that" I looked at the snow around us "Where is Hugh and Rosa?"

"They're out looking for Ghetsis. I was going to take you back to the city to get you some sleep"

"Are you crazy? This is more important than taking me somewhere to sleep. Why couldn't you go and help?" He shook his head.

"I'm not allowed to leave you alone" I smiled weakly.

"Yeah... like you weren't allowed to let me battle, yet I did" I looked at my hands "That was fun... I can't believe I won"

"Congratulations" Nate smiled "You learn fast" I smiled back and took his hands.

"I got enough rest. Nate, let's go help the others" he nodded without question and followed me around the forest area until we found Rosa and Hugh facing Ghetsis and Kyurem right behind him.

"Camie! Are you alright to be here?" Rosa asked. I nodded and looked at Ghetsis glaring at us, annoyed

"Great, more of you arrived" he huffed "I have a memory that has continued to haunt me. Just one. That unpleasant look in your eyes reminds me of it" Rosa held my hands, keeping me close since she was shaking in fear "that aside, this is my gift to you to show my respect for making it this far. I'll freeze you solid right here so you can watch my glorious ascent!" Ghetsis slammed his cane on the ground "Kyurem!-"

This moment... I have a feeling it's going to end up like that nightmare. I have to be quick "Rosa?" I called "Protect your head" Rosa looked at me confused before I shoved her into Nate's arms and pushed them as hard as I could far away. I lifted Hugh's body like a sack and threw him after them.

"Glaciate!" Ghetsis shouted the demand at Kyurem, making it start making the ice form beneath, forming sharp ice crystals around and transfer them to surround me with them in a spiral motion, ready to stab me.

I prepared for a burning moment of instant death, but my eyes didn't see flashes. Time felt like it slowed down for a moment, only showing me memories of my dreams where Hilda and N were watching each other after a long battle between truths and ideals. Truth had beat the past, but ideals is going to fight in this present.

"Zekrom! Fusion Bolt!" A male voice shouted from the ceiling, causing blue bolts of lightning to strike and destroy the ice around me. I dropped to sit on my knees and held my nose leaking black liquid.

"Camie!" Rosa ran over to me, sobbing and hugging me from behind "Why on earth would you do that?!"

"Why? I used my strength to protect you. I want to protect those I care about. That's all I ever wanted" I stared at the black liquid dripping to the floor "Even if I thought I was going to die, I wasn't worried in the end" I sighed, taking her hand and looked up at a black legendary with a man on its back flying down the ground and land right in front of us, facing Kyurem.
