*Chapter 47: Interest

Mom stared at me with skeptical eyes, staring at me like I was a ghost who was wearing living skin. She couldn't tell if I was real or not, especially when I had the same face as Rosa. When it finally clicked, she passed out right on the spot. Needless to say... She felt guilty for forgetting that she pushed out two daughters instead of one.

"That was not the reaction I expected her to have" I told Rosa while on our walk around Aspertia City.

"Right? The woman didn't even cry. But I can tell you one thing, she does remember. Why did you poke her after she passed out?"

"Well... I wanted to test that bond thing you were talking about. I'm sure she'll remember better once she wakes up" we took her to bed to get some sleep since Rosa told me that ever since that summer, mom had lost a lot of sleep. She looked older somehow. Once she saw me, her reason for not sleeping had disappeared and she could now sleep well tonight.

"I just can't believe I forgot because of some legendary Pokémon" Rosa held her chin "I come to wonder how exactly I was able to attend that expensive school, but now it's clear" she smiled at me "Our minds know that this money was gifted to us, so we're taking care of it. It's safe" I nodded.

"Good. I'm glad you're using the money carefully"

"You may need it one day as well. Tell me, now that you're alive by the moon goddess or whatever, what do you see in your future?" I looked down and played with my fingers.

"I...I don't have anything in mind. Maybe I can work as a stunt double with you, but that ability and strength is no longer part of me"

"I'm sure you'll find something" she poked my arm "You've been asleep for an entire year. I'm shocked that you have so much energy" I forgot to mention on what had happened after I've woken up. I never told her about seeing Hugh or getting attacked by a tree branch just to meet the moon goddess herself. Not to mention she doesn't know anything about Melanie.

"Well... My Pokémon provided me some good food I had laying around that doesn't expire. And my home tea works wonders"

"Your tea! I remember that tea! It was so delicious!" I giggled.

"I brought home the garden. I think it was time for me to completely abandon that place once and for all" I smiled "I haven't been able to see dad, so I wasn't able to ask permission if I can take it and abandon the house. When I'm ready, I'll sell it off" she shivered.

"O-Oh yeah... I remember you use to see ghost when we were kids. Do you think you still can?" I giggled, which made her shiver more.

"Maybe..." I just said, not wanting to scare her too much "So... Where is Hilda?"

"She's been working on something. She won't tell anyone, but I believe she should be coming back to Aspertia City in a few days with N. I can't wait for her to remember you" she clapped happily "Oh! Hugh is also coming back around the same time!"

"How do you know that?" I arched my brow. She flinched "Have you two been talking on the phone regularly?"

"W-Well... Not really" she blushed "I just ask how his day has been. I don't want to seem obvious that I like him" I giggled "What are you going to do on this walk?"

"I think I just want to take in more of the city and go to the scenery to have some time to myself" she nodded.

"Of course! Take as much time as you need to enjoy life! I'm going to check on mom before I head to Pokéstar studios. They want me to start a new movie and whatever" she rolled her eyes "I wish you can come with me, but I understand!" She walked off "See you later!" I waved and headed out to the outlook to take in my experiences I've had since waking up and just take in the quietness to think to myself.
