*Chapter 53: Party

When hanging out with Nate in the party, careful to not touch anything but the dress shirt he was wearing, I had to introduce myself to his friends, since they were persistent on knowing what happened to me.

I explained how jumpy I normally was, which was unbelievable by Fang, who knew exactly who I was from him catching me and my plate earlier, but he didn't bother bringing up the past since nobody else was bringing it up. It was refreshing that he didn't say anything, so he just drank. It made me glad that he didn't see me different after experiencing what I've done in person.

As I was talking with Nate and his friends, I had the erg to get more food. Nate offered to get me some when I mentioned I was going to get more. He's so sweet.

"Never really seen Nate like that before" Echo, or Olivia, said after finishing her glass of wine "He's usually so serious. He's a cop now, so I expect it came from that, but I don't know" she held her chin, looking at me "It feels like deja vu when we're in a group talking to yah. It's like we spoken before, but we never met... Right?" I nervously laughed

"I think you're a sweet girl" Phoenix smiled "You seemed off a little weird, but I shouldn't judge too much" I blinked confused. Does he mean what I think he means? "I can just tell you make Nate happy. I don't know why you guys aren't dating yet"

"Doesn't he like another girl?" Knight, with his real name being Yuuji, asked. Phoenix laughed

"So?" he winked at me. Something about that wink made me feel weird. What did he mean by everything he's been saying? Does he remember me?

"Camie!" Rosa pulled on my hand "Come over here. We're gonna spin the bottle in a circle. It'll be fun"

"Spin the bottle? Is that something you do in New Years party?" I asked

"Not really, but it sounds fun" Echo chuckled "Are we doing adult things? How old are you two anyway?" Rosa and I looked at each other

"20" we said at the same time. A draft blew pass Echo, like she was shocked that we said we were actually 20. We look younger than we were, but my body was preserved for a whole year, so I'm technically still 19

"I think you broke her" Fang said

"She still holds onto her youth by a thread" Phoenix laughed, making Echo snap and chase after him. Rosa and I giggled before taking her suggestion to pay the game and went into a group circle with her and the rest of Nate's friends, followed by Nate who had my food in hand

"Oh!" He gave me a plate full of food "Thank you!" I smiled and sat beside him in the group circle and started munching down on everything.

"You eat a lot" Hilda sweat dropped "And you're still so skinny... lucky" I chuckled

"Well, I like to eat. But even so, I need to eat a lot to regain energy" I admit

"Regain energy? Are you tired?" Nate asked "I don't know why I gave you so much food. I just thought you'd want that much" it was obvious on how much I ate during our journey, so he knows I like to eat, despite memory loss "Is that alright?"

"It's perfect!" Rosa told everyone how the game works and there will have to be restrictions just in case this game of truth or dare gets too far. This game is a bit dangerous... don't yah think? Especially with Nate next to me?

The game started off well and a lot of our friends chose to do truth instead of dares because of how scared they were. To those who have chose dare, they were forced to drink more alcohol than usual and drink a shot given to them. When I chose to do dare, my nose started bleeding from the embarrassment while everyone was wooing Nate and I to kiss. Why did I choose Dare?!!
