I ignored the guy I purposely almost punched but stopped, as we followed Roxie to Pokéstar studios "Please! At least consider! You are simply amazing! A natural talent!" He continued to beg. I stepped on my foot to stop immediately, almost making him run into my back.
"I told you I'm not interested" I said normally "I don't care what you have to say about this movie. I couldn't care less, and I simply don't have time"
"But you're the perfect candidate for the audition! I've seen the way you move when you defended yourself and saw how beautifully you played! You'd be an amazing heroine! I can see it now! You can even get paid to do this!"
"I don't care about money" I started walking again.
"It pays good!" I sighed, not really in the mood to deal with this sort of thing.
"I don't care" Nate turned his head to look at the guy.
"We don't have the time, and even if she did, she's not allowed to participate" I nodded to confirm that, just wanting to be left alone from this stranger who's been following us for a long while before and after he showed himself. It was making me uncomfortable.
"Not allowed?" He asked "we can work around it"
"Oh my Arceus, can you just shut up!?" Roxie snapped "We're on the way there now, so be quiet and don't follow if you're just going to be yapping the whole time!" The man didn't say anything after that. I sighed in relief and looked over at Nate staring at me. I smiled and held his hand, holding his arm after and rested my head on his shoulder.
"Do you not like movies?" He asked.
"It's not that I don't like them. I'm simply not really interested in them. Books are better for the most part, but I'd watch a movie with Rosa in it any day!" I smiled, cuddling close "but I can see you as the hero. You're so handsome and strong. I'd watch that movie" he blushed, looking away.
"Stop that" I laughed and looked back at the man following us, on his phone.
"Hey" he looked up quick, looking excited to speak to me "Did you know Rosa?"
"Who doesn't know Rosa? She's brilliant in the acting world! She starred in a lot of movies that were a hit!"
"Tell me more about her" he looked confused on why I might not know about her, but I didn't bother explaining myself. He nodded and thought about it.
"She always gives it her best effort and looks so convincing in her role that we often get nervous when she starts crying during filming on a sad scene" I remembered seeing a movie where she was crying. Even if it was actually convincing, I knew that wasn't how she cried "In real life, she's quite shy and doesn't talk unless someone talks to her" I bit my lip and looked straight.
"Shy?" Nate questioned "I don't remember her being shy" He told me. I didn't say anything, knowing it was my fault, and finally made it to Pokéstar studios. I could tell Nate expected me to get excited and run off somewhere, so he gripped my hand, but I was simply not in the mood and hid behind him.
A place this crowded... so many people to entertain. I can only imagine how this place might've changed her too. I know a thing or two about people around people who care about the algorithm, and it can change someone easily.
"Where would I find the old man?" Roxie asked herself before turning to the man "Yo, any idea where my pops is at? He's the captain of the ship" she pointed at the big ship on the side of the city.
"Oh, that guy? He's actually premiering his movie debut soon" Roxie looked at him funny.
"So he had the time to waste making a stupid movie? Fine, might as well watch it" She sighed. I tugged on Nate's jacket.
