*Chapter 29: Avenge

"I made it as fast as I could!" Hilda came falling from the sky once we arrived to Icirrus City by bus "Hope I'm not late!" She chuckled.

"From flying a legendary Pokémon, I seriously doubt it" Rosa laughed with her.

"How has your mom been since you returned home?" Mother asked.

"She's good! She was so happy and so angry at the same time!" She rubbed the back of her head "That's what I get for making her worry" I noticed something sparkly on her finger.

"Well, I guess the two of us disappeared without a trace" I giggled "I went off to Sinnoh for reasons and came back five years later, you went off to travel the world and came back two years later, and even got engaged" her face went red before showing her engagement ring to mother and Rosa. They both quickly went to admire how pretty it was.

"Yeah... It was pretty unexpected, but I'm so happy" Hilda smiled.

"I'm glad to hear it! Where is N?" I asked.

"He's actually in the Dragonspiral Tower in this city. Since I'm here with my family, he figured to go there with Zekrom" Rosa walked up to face her "What's up, Rosa?"

"Hilda... I've also disappeared without a trace myself. I guess it runs in the family" she nervously laughed "But the only reason why I did it was because I thought to join Team Plasma in disguise so I can learn the underground secrets and defeat them, like you! In your place! Since you've been gone for so long, I figured you wouldn't be able to help" Hilda smiled and pet her head.

"I appreciate that you did this not only for me, but for all of Unova. You two are great... If you two haven't been around, things wouldn't be how they are now. N told me Reshiram and Zekrom was feeling Kyurem suffering, so we hurried to Unova as fast as we could. We were in the middle of traveling, but I'm glad we came on time" she pet both our heads "Melanie would be proud" I looked down, trying not to cry about it.

"I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Melanie... I have no doubts in my life. I want my family to be happy and protected. My father was buried here after his death. I'm glad you came to support us, even if you weren't related to him" I said. Hilda smiled and nodded.

"No problem! Shall we?" We walked Icirrus City and it's glory, seeing how many windmills were everywhere and how there was a marsh surrounding the cemetery on the other side of the city.

The city had many of their buildings on hills and high ground due to the marsh that often freezes over. We had to take many turns around the hills just to get to the low ground where the marsh was blocking our path until we made it to a slightly higher ground where all the graves were. We stopped by the front gate and I stopped before I could go any further. Rosa noticed and stopped to come up to me.

"I haven't been here in years... I don't know if I'm ready" I frowned "I still feel bad for never telling you and mom"

"You had your reason to hide it... I can't really say I really understand why you'd go through such trauma on your own, but Camie... You inspire me" she held my hands "When you were by my side, I felt like I could do anything and take on the world, but when you disappeared... I felt like I lost a part of me. I didn't feel the same after you left, and I was never the same since. I can't imagine what you went through, and I'm not in no means trying to compare myself to you, but we're together now. We're both safe and at home... Let's go see dad together and get some closure" I nodded and held her hand and we ran back to mother and Hilda waiting for us.

Father's grave rested on the other side of the cemetery, where I planted a few flowers to grow back every season. It's around spring now, so that means the flowers were beautiful and blooming for father to see. I sat on my knees and played my Kalimba for him.
