“Virgie do you think I could carve Roman’s face in this one?”

Remus held up a large pumpkin for Virgil to see.

He tilted his head to the side looking at it, “Yeah you could, why?”

“I’m going to carve his face in it then smash it!”

Virgil smiled softly at his chaotic datemate, “Just don’t get it everywhere.”

“I won’t! Did you find your pumpkin yet?”

“I think so…” Virgil picked up a smaller white one.

“Ooo I like that one.”

“Yeah? I wanted to do something different then in the past.”

“It’s perfect! Come on I want to get apple cider!”

Virgil followed them through the pumpkin patch to the apple cider stand. Remus paid for their drinks handing one to Virgil.

“You didn’t have to pay for me…”

“I know I wanted to!” They kissed his cheek, “We should go home now, momceit will get worried if we’re gone too long.”

He laughed, “Yeah alright come on.”

The pair headed back to the mind palace with their pumpkins and hot apple cider.

“I take it you two had fun today?”

“Yeah! I’m going to carve Roman’s face in mine then smash it!”

“Just don’t get pumpkin everywhere.”

“Hey that’s what Vee said.”

Janus rolled his eyes, “Dinner then carving.”

“Is Remy back yet?”

“Here babes!”

“Rem!”

“One pumpkin spice for spider, a seasonal depression for me, caramel apple spice for octo, and a chai tea for momceit.”

Janus rolled his eyes while taking the drink.

“So momceit what’s for dinner?”

“You’re all insufferable, and spaghetti.”

“My favorite!” They sip their drink heading for the dinning table.

“Remy, how does it look?”

“Like Roman babes, is that the point?”

“Yep!”

“Then it looks great.”

They smiled going back to their work.

“Spider babes how's it going?”

“I don’t know...something just doesn’t look right.”

He looked at the pumpkin resting his head atop the smaller’s head.

“It looks fine babes.”

“Somethings missing…”

“Hmmm what about a tree?”

Virgil tilted his head to the side thinking, “Yeah that would work, thanks Rem.”

“Of course babes.”

Virgil went back to work a smile on his face. Remy sat on the table in between the two.

“After this I’m thinking cuddles and a movie.”

“Sounds lovely raven.”

“Mhm! I want to smash the pumpkin first though!”

“That’s fine babes, we’ll go outside and you can smash it.”

“Yay! Ok done!”

“I think I’m done…”

“It looks great spider, octo you did amazing capturing the stupidity!”

They laughed, “I tried, I think I missed some of the ego but his head was already big enough.”

“Of course, any bigger and it wouldn’t fit.”

They laughed again and took a picture before heading outside, setting it on the ground and lifting their morning star up. They froze as they stared at it.

“Remus babes you ok?”

“I can’t do it...I can’t smash it…” They lowered their morning star.

“That’s ok. Why don’t you send the pic to him and wish him a good halloween.”

“Yeah ok…” They sent the message and a smile forming as their phone beeped.

“You ready babes? Vee was picking out movies.”

“Yeah let’s go!”
