Happy Birthday Janus!

A/N: First happy birthday snek boi! Second, cover art is mine. Third, TWs, not taking care of yourself, no eating, no sleep. Stuff like that.

3rd Person Pov

Janus sighed and rubbed their eyes, leaning back  from the work they were doing.

They glitched.

They were stressed and over worked.

Grimy and dirty, scales dull and unkempt.

They went back to work, not hearing the knock on the door.

Not hearing the locked door jingle.

Not hearing Roman call out to them.

Not hearing the door being forced open.

Jumping when a hand was on their shoulder.

"Jan?"

They looked up at their princely boyfriend.

"Jan mi amour, are you alright?"

They nod and glitch which didn't go unnoticed by their nerdy boyfriend.

"Maybe you should take a break Dee." Their anxious boyfriend spoke up from next to Roman.

"'M fine."

"Yeah none of us believe that baby." Roman pulled them up, holding them close.

Logan frowned, "Whenbwas the last time you slept?"

"Mmmmm three weeks ago."

"And the last time you ate?"

"A week ago."

"Thats it, princey, hand them over." Virgil took Janus in his arms and led him to the bathroom, "First a bath. Get you all nice and cleaned up and take care of those scales. How does that sound love?"

He turned on the bath, keeping an arm wrapped around him."

"Sounds nice."

"Mhm, then we'll get you dressed in nice warm fluffy pajamas and get you some food. Does that sound good?"

"Mhm." They lean against him.

"And then after that we'll all get in bed and cuddle."

A lazy smile was on the snake like side's face. Virgil kissed their head and gently got them undressed, after asking for permission of course. He helped them into the bath before kneeling beside it and getting their hair wet.

He massaged the shampoo in, smiling as they relaxed before rinsing it out, being careful not to get it in their eyes before doing the same with the conditioner.

He smiles and kissed his cheek before gently turning his head to face him and carefully peeling the old dead scales and skin off.

After washing the new scales off and getting rid of any dirt or grime he grabbed the scale polish off the counter and gently put it on his scales.

"All done baby, can I help you out and get you dressed?"

They nodded, lifting their arms up lazily. Virgil chuckled and grabbed a towel before helping them out and getting them dried off.

He walked out of the bathroom, ask the other two to get food and their present before walking back in.

"I have fluffy pajamas."

They smiled and leaned against him.

"No sleep yet hun, you still need to eat."

They whined but stood up. Virgil picked their lips before helping them get dressed. He picked them up, resulting in Dee koala hugging him before walking out of the bathroom and sitting on his bed.

"Night night time?" They mumbled clearly slipping.

"Almost hun, can you stay awake and eat something for Vee?"

"Mhm"

"Thank you Janny."

They smile and lean against him. They look up when the bed dips to see Logan with a plate of food.

"Can you eat this for us love?"

They nod and make grabby hands. Logan smiles and pulls them onto his lap and gives them the food.

They eat it all, fairly quickly which concerns the two a bit.

"How do cuddles sound while we wait for Ro."

They smile and nod, leaning against logan tiredly.

"Just a bit longer starlight, then you can sleep."

They nod and look up as Roman comes in with two boxes.

Virgil and Logan share a confused glance. They only bought one thing for their partner.

Janus blinked, "Whats with the boxes?"

Roman smiled a bit, noticing they were slipping into head space, "Your birthday gift love."

"Thats today? Its already February?"

"Yes and yes. We know you said you had work to get done but after you stopped coming out of your room and answering us we decided enough was enough."

They nod and glitch again. Logan frowned a bit and pet their hair. Roman's smile lessened as he set the box in their lap. They opened it and smiled.

A large yellow snake plush was coiled in the box. They giggled, slipping more and took it out, hugging it to their chest.

"One more then we can sleep, ok princess?"

"Mk."

He smiled and set the box on their lap before moving Virgil closer.

"Prin-"

"Shhh emo, save your voice for after.'

Janus undid the ribbon and opened it, gasping.

Three beautiful rings sat inside. The one on the left was sliver with purple gems. The one in the middle black with yellow gems. And the one on the right was sliver with dark blue gems.

Logan stared in shock at the prince.

Virgil made grabby hands, tearing up, "You stupid sappy romantic prince. Get over here."

He walked over being pulled into a kiss by Virgil, "is that a yes then?"

"Yes its a yes you idiot." Virgil grabbed the ring and slipped it on.

He turned to the other two who already had their rings on. Janus threw the boxes on the ground and crawled under the covers with their new snek plush.

The three smiled at their partner, getting into bed next to them, Virgil holding Janus. Logan on Janus' other side and Roman holding Virgil.

All in all when Janus woke up later that day surrounded with love and warmth they were almost happy they overworked themselves. They got two wonderful presents and got to cuddle with their boyfriends.

Best birthday ever.
