Virgil’s Pov

I shuddered looking into the mirror. I hate my looks, I hate myself in general. I still don’t get how Roman fell for me.

‘Ugly.’

‘Useless.’

‘Do it.’

‘Die.’

‘He’s using you.’

‘What if Roman was using me?’

‘Fat.’

‘Can’t you lose some weight? Seriously.’

‘He doesn’t love you.’

‘Once a darkside always a darkside.’

‘Do something right for once in your pathetic life!’

‘All you do is hurt Thomas.’

I sighed turning away from the mirror. You know it’s kinda like that saying. A therapist helps others but who helps the therapist? At least I think that’s how it goes. I’ve felt like a therapist lately helping everyone. I walked back into my room sitting on the bed. Putting my head in my hands I tried not to cry.

‘Come on don’t cry! You’re better than this! Stronger than this!’

I was snapped out of my daze by a knock on the door.

I wiped at my face making sure I wasn’t crying, “Come in!”

Roman’s head popped in before fully entering.

“What’s up princey?”

“The sky, but in all seriousness are you alright? We’ve been calling your name and you haven’t answered anyone.”

“Oh, I didn’t hear you guys...sorry, what did you guys need?”

“It’s time for dinner.”

“I’m not hungry…”

‘Liar, I’m starving but I don’t need to eat.’

“You didn’t eat anything today or yesterday besides breakfast. You need to eat dear.”

“I’m fine Ro…”

‘Liar.’

He put a hand on my face, using his thumb to trace my cheek bone, “Will you atleast come sit with us then?”

“Yeah alright…”

A small, small smile appeared on his face as he helped me up before we walked downstairs.

“Hey kiddo! You ok? You weren’t answering us back there.”

“Sorry about that, I didn’t hear you guys.”

“It’s alright, dinner’s ready though.”

I nodded sitting in my normal spot in between Roman and Janus. With Patton across from me next to Remus, Logan across from Janus.

“Virgil kiddo aren’t you going to eat?” He pointed at me with his fork.

“I’m not hungry.”

I saw Janus twitch out of the corner of my eye when hearing the lie.

“You sure you haven’t been eating a lot lately…”
