Sick Virgil (part 3)

Janus glared at the prince

"Deceit?"

He turned toward the nurse, "that's me."

"He's stable for now, we believe it's hematemsis but we're going to run some test to see. It will be a few hours before that's done and then another two or three hours for all the test to come back."

"Can I see him quick?"

"Yes, right this way." 

Janus followed the nurse down the hall, into a room. He went straight over to the sickly pale side.

"Oh Vee baby..."

"Jan?"

"Yeah, I'm here."

Virgil grabbed his hand, "Jan I'm scared."

"Hey hey, it's going to be ok, you're going to be ok. They're going to help you, ok?"

"You'll stay right?"

"I'll be in the waiting room with Remus."

He tried squeezing the snakes hand tighter, "nononono I-I need you here with me!"

"Baby I can't, I'll be right outside that door, I'm not leaving you."

"I don't want to be alone." Tears welled up in Virgil's eyes

"You won't be," he placed a stuff snake next to him, "I'll be here the whole time."

He hugged the stuff snake, "promise?"

"Double promise."

Virgil smiled a bit, Janus kissed his head.

"I'll be back in a few hours my dear."

The anxious side nodded, watching deceit leave.

Janus sighed and went back to the waiting room, sitting next to Remus.

"Is he ok?"

"He will be, I see Roman is still here."

"You called me by my name?"

"Does it look like I have the energy to fight with you prince wannabe!?" He snapped looking up at Roman

"Obviously yes."

He got up only to be stopped by Remus.

"Don't de, he's not worth your time."

"More like he's not worth my time."

Rat man turned and punched the prince, "Will you shut up!? My best friend is in the hospital and you're here being rude to the two people who raised him and actually care for him! Could you be any more of a bitch with your head up your own ass! If I wasn't worried sick for Virgil I'd rip you limb from limb putting each one covered in bird seed on a stick for the birds to eat! Now sit your ass down and shut the hell up or leave!"

Janus burst out laughing, tears in his eyes, "bird seed? That's the best you could come up with?"

"I was mad! It was a quick thought!"

"Obviously, oh that was funny, he's still frozen in shock. I've never seen you that mad before! It was horrible."

"Why thank you my scaly friend."

Roman just sat down, too prideful to leave.

After about an hour of anxiously sitting and waiting the snake side got up and started pacing, pulling on his gloves as he paced and mumbled.
