Roman gets 'captured' by the villain who helps convince the hero to stay with him

3rd Person POV

Roman looks around the cell he's in, taking his mask off and just, looking at it. A year rolls down his face as the betrayal sets in.

"So long, goodbye"
"I'll see you when I see you"
"You can pick the street"
"I'll meet you on the other side"
"So long, goodbye"
"Do I really have to finish?"
"Do returns always diminish?"
"Did I say that right?"

A sad chuckle left the hero's lips. Logan listens from around the corner, a small frown on his face.

"Does anybody want to joke"
"When no one's laughing in the background?"

Roman looks around

"So this is how it ends"
"I promise to never go outside again"

"So long, bye!"

He looks down at his hands, flicker of power glowing before dying out again.

"I'm slowly losing power"
"Has it only been an hour?"
"No, that can't be right"
"So long, goodbye"
"Hey, here's a fun idea"
"How 'bout I sit on the couch"
"And I watch you next time?"

"I wanna hear you tell a joke"
"When no one's laughing in the background"

Logan jumps a bit in surprise at the small outburst from the hero

"So this is how it ends"
"I promise to never go outside again"

Logan walks in over to the hero who looks up at him, tears in his eyes

"Am I going crazy?"
"Would I even know?"
"Am I right back where I started fourteen years ago?"

"Ro-"

"Wanna guess the ending? If it ever does"
"I swear to God that all I've ever wanted was"
"A little bit of everything, all of the time"
"A bit of everything, all of the time"
"Apathy's a tragedy, and boredom is a crime"
"I'm finished playing, and I'm staying inside"

Logan goes in and kneels in front of the boy

"If I wake up in a house that's full of smoke"
"I'll panic, so call me up and tell me a joke"
"When I'm fully irrelevant and totally broken, damn it"
"Call me up and tell me a joke"

"Im sorry ro..."

"Oh, shit, you're really joking at a time like this?"
"Well, well, look who's inside again"
"Went out to look for a reason to hide again"
"Well, well, buddy, you found it"
"Now come out with your hands up"
"We've got you surrounded"

"Theres no one here but us Ro."

"You tricked me..."

"I know, but love they were hurting you, i want to help."

he pushes logan away from him, "i cant use my powers. You-you lied and tricked me! you hurt me..."

logan looks away guilty, "I didnt mean to hurt you...."

"You still did."

"I know and i cant take it back but I want to help you roman. You can do so much more with the right help. They were holding you back, you couldnt even do half the things you could do."

"How can i believe you now?"

"Star look at me."

Roman glances up at him, "So help me if you use your powers-"

"Im not going to." he places a hand on his cheek, "Roman i love you, i just want whats best for you and i know what they've done. they arent heros roman, please, stay here with me, let me help you."

Roman sighs, placing his hand ontop of logans, "ok, ok I'll stay but im not staying here."

"Of course not love, come on." 

logan gets up and helps the boy up, going upstairs with him.
