Before your arrival at Atlas

The small creek of a door was heard throughout the meeting hall as Tyrian entered the room, his Queen waiting for him at the end of the room. She was staring out the window, watching as the grim kept emerging from the black pools of tar. "You called for me my Queen?" The Scorpion faunus bowed awaiting his Queens response. "Tell me Tyrian... What do you see in Y/N?" The Scorpion faunus stared at his Queen in confusion. "She was nothing but a useless pawn, at Haven she proved her worth when she got knocked out and captured by the enemy. Im surprised she lasted as long as she did." He responded as the two started walking. Salem stayed quiet for some time, staring into his eyes before coming to her conclusion. "You lie... Whether you know it or not that girl meant something to you. Normally I would discourage this but I see this as an advantage..." Salem trailed off, leaving a speech less Tyrian to try and collect his thoughts.

"My Queen what are you implying? My one and only purpose is to serve you!" He exclaimed as he went to catch up with Salem. "I've been here far longer then you have Tyrian, I know and understand things that you may not... Now what if I promised you a chance to get her back? That she could be yours if you so desire..." Salem paused as she watched his expression change.

"Alright, you all have your jobs for the day. Meet back here as usual and I'll let you know if we need anyone for transports. Y/N, I need a word with you." General Ironwood spoke with his hands behind his back. "Good luck with that." Nora commented with a small smile as they all walked out of the room. You stood up and made your way towards the General. "It has been brought to my attention that you don't have all your memories, aside from that you used to work with Salem and it would seem that your semblance is some form of communication with these grim?" Ironwood looked at you with a raised eyebrow making you clear your throat.

"Yes sir, if you're worried I'll try to pull a stunt rest assured that whatever I may have done in the past won't affect my actions going forward. I have grown attached to the team RWBY and JNR members, and I feel as though what I'm doing now is the right thing." You explained to General as your eyebrows knitted together. General Ironwood chuckled before placing a hand on your shoulder. "I wasn't thinking that, but thank you for reassuring me. I was thinking you could help out Penny with any grim that would reach Mantel, to help you with your semblance. Along with that I would like you to spend time with the Ace Ops, get to know them more." He gestured for the two of you to start walking.

You looked at him with confusion for a second before asking. "Why do you want me to get to know the Ace Ops?" He let out a chuckle before facing you. "You are a very skilled fighter, whatever training they put you through it must've paid off... I believe that with a little more work on your semblance and on your hand to hand you could make an amazing huntsman." You stared at his back in shock. "You want me to join the Ace Ops?" You let out a sigh as you caught up to him. "If you wish to, then yes. I'll give you time to think but for now go on and do your assignment." You gave him a nod before rushing off to the streets of Mantel.

You stifled a laugh as you watched yet another lady try and give Jaune a casserole. He had become quite the chick magnet since he decided to take on the crosswalk job. "Yeah this is real funny for you now isn't it?" He glared as he walked towards you with the dish in hand. "Hey, at least you won't go hungry." You chuckled  as the both of you sat on the side of the street. "Well that's true... Still, I would like to be doing something more useful." The both of you sighed. You took the dish in hand and opened the lid, enjoying the heat and smell. "I mean... The moms sure think your really useful." You chuckled as you took a bite of the casserole, letting out a hum as you enjoyed the flavors. "Hey! Who said you could eat that?" Jaune complained as he took it out of your hands. "You sounded like you didn't want it!" You whined as you tried to get it back. The sound of an alarm interrupting your playful bickering.

The both of you stood up and looked in the direction of the sound. "I'll be back, save some for me!" You called out as you started to run towards the noise. "Yeah, yeah! Don't worry about it!" He called back as you left his line of sight. You huffed as you made it to the block of the alarm, the red lights illuminating the streets kept flashing. You quickly drew your weapon, your eyes looking for any sign of grim, even trying to call out to it with your semblance but nothing came out. You kept your gard up as you walked around, but nothing seemed to come out. "Maybe the system malfunctioned..." You sighed as you lowered your blade, as you were going to put it away the sound of something being kicked was heard.

Quickly drawing it back out you rushed to the source of the noise. Walking into an alley your eyes scanned above you for anything, but nothing was found. You growled and stood straight again. You shook your head at the waist of time and started heading out when the sight of a metallic tail stopped you. The sound of laughter echoed in the alley as a figure came out of its hiding place. Golden eyes made contact with yours. "It's good to see you again my dear Princess."
