You growled as your hands were tied behind your back. "These things are too damn tight..." You glared at Tyrian who only smirked, his tail caressed your cheek before he kneeled infront of you. "I'm sorry Princess, but this is part of the plan after all." A small grin plastered on his face as he placed a lingering kiss on your cheek. "Please stop that, it's weird." Emerald sighed as she leaned on a broken pillar. "She's just jealous..." Tyrian laughed as Emerald scrunched up her nose, disgust clearly evident. "Just stick to your task and don't get distracted..." She shook her head.

Just as Tyrian was about to respond a rumbling was felt, your body shivered as you knew what was coming. "Show time Princess." Tyrian laughed as he kneeled next to you, Emerald quickly doing the same. Both of them bowed their head as footsteps where heard. "Both of you had me worried for a second, but it seems you've been able to redeem yourselves. Not only bringing me my stolen maiden, but three relic's." Closing your eyes you took in a deep breath as her voice came closer and closer with every step. "It's thanks to you two that today can finally mark the beginning of the end." Emerald and Tyrian shared a nod before slowly rising to their feet.

"Lift her up." A grunt left your body as you were harshly dragged up from the floor. "So many plans I had for you... I really did look at you as a daughter, but you were always expendable." Your breath hitched as she lifted you up by the neck. Tyrian's gaze sharpened, his tail stiffening as he watched from the sidelines. "You... Still need... The vault!" Your voice was strained as you fought against her grip. "Or I could just have someone else take the maidens power from you." Her piercing gaze made you shiver. Your vision was starting to get blurry, your shoulders going limp as your closed your eyes. But just before completely passing out she dropped you on the floor. A grunt left your body as you started coughing.

Salem waved her hand and instantly Tyrian was by your side, sitting you up and giving you the small comfort of holding your hand. "Mercury couldn't make it today but I'm sure he'd appreciate a few new bruises on you... You've done a number on my force's, but it will be worth it once im finished here." Salem turned around, determination in her eyes. "Take me to the vault." Even in your weak state you sneered at her. You knew exactly what Salem was capable of, but you would never bow and comply to her orders ever again. "I won't tell you a thing." You spat back, Tyrian becoming hyper-aware of his surroundings. Salem narrowed her eyes at her subordinates action, his own eyes meeting hers. "Tyrian won't be able to protect you forever..." She paused as a seer came wandering in.

"It's a good thing I came prepared, I've known the vaults location for a while. It just took a bit more searching than usual, that damn Ozma took more precaution than usual with this one." Your hand squeezed Tyrian's tightly, panic coursing through your veins. "It'll be alright my Princess, this'll all be over soon..." He mumbled in your ear, his arm wrapping around you as he helped you stand up. "Emerald... Take Y/N, Tyrian will stay by my side." Tyrian's eyes snapped forward, his fist clenched as he hesitantly let you go. Giving your hand one last squeeze he left you in Emeralds care. "I'm sorry..." Emerald muttered as you shook your head. "Not now..." You barely glanced at Emerald as Salem led the way.

Silence accompanied the soft breeze of the early morning, the occasional stone rumbling before collapsing itself. "Tell me Salem... Do you really crave death so much that you're willing to crush this earth for everyone? How do you know that the God's won't leave you to walk the earth alone again?" Your questions seemed to have stuck a chord with her as she paused in her track's. "Deep down you're just a little girl throwing a temper tantrum at the world, things come to an end and you couldn't accept that, so the God's cursed you to a life that would surely never end." The seer's tentacle pulled you in, dragging you infront of Salem. "There it is again, throwing a fit cause I made you mad."

"Y/N!" Tyrian hissed as he grew nervous. "... Please excuse her your highness, we mustn't waste any more time when we're so close to the final step!" Tyrian's eyes glossed over yours, sending you a look of worry and warning. The seer held on for a moment before letting you go, by now you were sure purple and green could be seen around your neck. Holding your throat you glared at Salem and at Tyrian. The four of you continued on your way, Emerald's hand was placed on your shoulder as you made it to a tower. "He was smart making the vault somewhere the others weren't..." Salem mumbled as you where shoved into a barely working elevator. A small gasp left your lips as a giant Wyvern stood frozen at the top of the tower.

"They must be searching high and low for you, it's a shame they won't be able to say their final goodbyes." Clenching your fist you waited until she moved some bookcases out of the way, a latch connecting a small metal door to the ground. Slowly the four of you jumped down. Hitting the ground with a thud you groaned as you landed on your side, the wind being knocked out of your sides. "Hands... Are still tied." You growled as you sat up, Emerald quickly came to your side and cut the ropes holding your hands back. "Open the vault..." Salem urged you forward, Emeralds blades being pointed in your direction. "Em... Ty... You don't have to do this..." Your eyes darted between the two of them.

Tyrian reluctantly drew his own weapons, an uncharacteristic frown on his face. "Open the vault Princess... Don't make this any harder than it already is..." His voice barely above a whisper as he avoided eye contact. Your trembling hands clenched together as you were slowly backed up towards the vault. With a sigh you turned around, your hand slowly extended as you were so close to opening the vault. "You know Salem... All this time you've worked so hard in dividing us, trying to turn us against each other... But if anything you brought us together..." You paused as the vault doors slowly slid open. "We found friendship, trust, and even love in each other... Your biggest mistake was thinking we would go out without a fight." A ring of fire light up around your eyes as torches were lit up all around the vault.

"So it's now or never!" Emeralds illusion fell revealing everyone with their weapon's in hand. Laughter was heard as Tyrian smirked, taking the relic's he walked to your side. "I do believe my acting deserves an award!" His excitement spread as he handed you the relic's. "You shouldn't be celebrating when you know exactly what I'm capable of." Salem sneered as she lifted her arm, the sounds of guns cocking and metal shifting halted her for a moment. Time stood still as it was a standoff, no one dared to make a move.
