That night you couldn't sleep at all, your thoughts clouded with possible outcomes of the ambush. Hazel had told you that they weren't aware of the attack so you guys would have the upper hand, still you knew they were skilled. You had heard that a kid, not oven a huntress, had done that much damage to Cinder and froze a dragon on beacon tower. That kind of scared you. You talked a lot of shit to Emerald and Mercury, mostly Mercury, but you knew that you were truly nothing compared to Tyrian, or Hazel. Having to pull sneaky tricks, or use your semblance to get the upper hand.

When the sun finally came up you hadn't gotten even a wink of sleep, and of course Hazel had to comment. "Nervous?" You found an odd comfort in his deep voice. "Yeah..." You mumbled as you stared your blades, imagining the blood of an enemy running down them. Just the thought of ending someone's life made you feel a bit nauseous. You didn't know how everyone in Salem's group could be so comfortable with taking someone's life. "Remember what I told you, let's go we need to meet up with Cinder and Raven before heading to Haven." He told you while strapping two bags of dust crystals to his belt

"Y/N!" Emerald smiled at you and you waved back. You had to admit you had taken a liking to both Emerald and Mercury. Although Mercury got on your nerves every chance he got, he was dragged into this shit like you. They both were. And you couldn't help but feel the need to spend time with them, maybe serve as someone they could talk to without feeling threatened. "So how was your time with the big guy?" Merc asked as he walked up to you. Trying to wrap an arm around, but you quickly swerved away from him. Turning to sit down near Emerald

"It was something for sure." You finally responded as he smirked at you. "How'd it go with you and Em?" You asked as he stood next to you. "Could've been better..." He sighed and placed his arms behind his head. "Was it that bad?" You asked looking concerned. "Nah, he's just sad he didn't get to kick any butt. I took care of that part." Emerald said as a small smile graced her features. The three of you exchanged words and cracked a few jokes.

"Emerald, Mercury... As much as I enjoy seeing you two socialize and make new friends, we have to go." Cinder said sarcastically making the two straighten up. You sighed before standing up too, walking close behind. It was then when you noticed two others you hadn't seen before. One had a strange looking mask, and the other had short hair and blue eyes. You nodded at them before continuing to look ahead.

Everything happened so fast, one second the two groups were arguing and the next you were trying to back up Emerald as she fought a girl with a scythe. "Why are you doing this?" The girl with a scythe cried out, you and Emerald circling around her. "Salem-" Emerald cut her off. "I don't care about Salem, I owe Cinder everything..." Emerald trailed off as the both of you began shooting. "You really want to fight her that bad..? Be my guest." Emerald quickly made an illusion, you took the opportunity to sweep the girl off her feet.

"Go get them off of Hazel, I got this one." Emerald told you as you nodded. Dashing your way through the bullets and making it towards Hazel, stoping a hammer from crashing down on him. "I thought I told you to stay away..." He groaned as you got flipped on your back. "I'm going to fight!" You hissed as you quickly stood up, deflecting bullets from the black haired male. The both of you fought in sink, blocking and guarding each other's backs. In a moment your weapon got knocked out if your hand, the pink haired girl wanted to use this as an advantage and came running at you. Hazel quickly grabbed her by the head and slammed her down giving you time to recover.

Everything seemed to stop when the white haired girl got impaled, the blonde that started the fight with tear stained eyes. You shook your head as the two rushed to his side. You stood to the side, clutching your hip as you felt blood drip down. "Fuck..." You growled as you applied pressure. Everything around you seemed to fade into the background as you tried controlling your breathing. The fight still going on in the background, if you didn't get your wound to stop bleeding you would probably black out.

Everything seemed to pick back up when you caught the pink haired girl charging at Hazel. With everything you had left you pushed yourself off, running as fast as you could to intercept. The girls hammer made contact with your body, sending you flying. Your body broke through  a wall and landed somewhere in the surrounding area.

Hazel's eyes widened as he watched your body crash. He growled and turned, chosing to fight the girl instead of the kid. Your vision clouded as blood ran down the side of your face. Every breath your took was slower than the last, closing your eyes as everything faded to black.

You opened your eyes to find yourself in a room, a man you've never seen before in the corner with a bottle in hand. "Good... Your awake." His voice came out raspy and tired. You tried sitting up only to wince in pain, your body ached with every movement. A hiss passed your lips as you sat up on the bed. The room filled with people, each with a different expression. "Okay... Talk, tell us everything you know about Salem." You turned to a blonde girl, narrowing your eyes.

"Who..? I- I don't know what your talking about..."
